Category talk:Anime adaptations

This category appears to be redundant with the already existing category of Category:Anime and manga series. What is the need for this additional category? ~ UDScott 01:24, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

I agree. I see no advantage to categorizing them as adaptations unless it is to identify them as derivative works that may not be original enough to be considered Quoteworthy.

If they are anime they should just be in Category:Anime, if they are manga they should be in Category:Manga. And, if the article is about a title released in multiple media but does not indicate which production is being quoted, then it should be cleaned up or labeled as {{unsourced}}. ~ Ningauble 15:32, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
