English: This diagram shows the relationship of the three aspects of existence and the couplings between the realms. Spirit (which in the field of psychology has been identified as the Collective Unconscious, or in the religious field as the Holy Spirit) is understood to be the fundamental monist source of everything. It manifests in the individual as the Soul, then in the universe as Matter and Energy, which then gives rise to the Body and Mind of each individual. This version of dual-aspect monism (two realms springing forth from the fundamental realm) forms a Tripartite construct, and stands in contrast to Cartesian Dualism which holds that both Mind and Matter are fundamental. It is also distinct from other versions of monism like Physicalism which holds that Matter is fundamental from which Mind arises, and Idealism which maintains that Mind is fundamental from which Matter arises.

Internal among the three realms within each individual are coupling regions, illustrated in this diagram to show how they interact. For example, while the Brain is made of Matter and belongs to the realm of the Body, it serves as the seat of the Mind. And while the Body and Mind are constrained by the mechanical laws of physics, the realm of Spirit couples into this otherwise deterministic static situation, enabling Freewill. The Body couples back into the Soul in a visceral manner and through a base pelvic bond that gives rise to reproduction and further manifestations of the Soul in continuation of the species through successive generations. The Body interacts with its Material environment by consuming things like air, water and food. Impressions from the realm of Matter are also taken into the Body through the Senses which act as transducers from the realm of the Physical to the Mental realm. The Body has outputs to the Material environment through maintenance functions like sweat and waste excretions including the exhalation of carbon dioxide. More significantly, the Body can create sound through vocalizations, etc and make alterations to the Material environment through manipulations like deliberate acts of construction/destruction or inadvertent impacts. The very words 'human-woman-man' all have the same root 'man' which is the same root in 'manipulate' which means hand, indicating the characteristic of having the ability to create and alter one's environment - a characteristic that separates humans as distinct amongst all other animals (let alone other life forms and all inanimate entities) in how skillfully it is done. Humans are in a separate category with this ability that is enacted by use of the hand. (Other words like 'manage' also indicate the human ability to control one's environment, in various aspects.)

The interaction between Mind and Energy (sometimes referred to as "Cosmic Consciousness") has been theorized to interact through a "Law of Attraction", where Thoughts and Attitudes are Projected and then Reflected toward manifestation. The realm of Matter includes all of the physical universe. While the Body is physically grounded to external Matter through the soles of the feet, the Body is spiritually grounded to the Soul at the base of the spine in the Sacrum, with nerves extending through that bone analogously to how roots ground a tree. The word sacrum in Latin means "sacred", and is so named because of this understanding of its inter-relationship between Body and Soul. The infusion of Life Force is identified as Liver (see Kundalini, Chi, etc) and is experienced as a Rush or Sink in the Gut region. The liver is the organ dedicated to the detoxification of the body. Stated positively (instead of the double-negative term) it is the organ of purification. The Spirit realm of Soul is one of purity, and the liver functions to transmute between these two realms. This is not strictly the organ that is also called the liver, or it would belong to the realm of the body, colored green. The organ serves a vital function in the digestion of coarse matter aiding in transformation into fine matter to be circulated through the blood as nutrients. Analogous to this function, the Soul-realm nexus Liver is necessary for transforming coarse impressions taken in through the senses into finer qualities that feed the Soul. The Spirit interacts with the Soul by infusing Presence, with the potential for a return flow through the process of Transcendence. The Soul can be understood as a "fractal morsel" of Spirit, where the qualities of both are similar and the primary distinction is one of magnitude. A commonly used analogy is the relationship between a wave to the ocean. A Soul is realized as individuation of Spirit, but they are no more separate from each other than a wave is separate from the ocean. At the core of an individual is their Essence, coupled with their Heart and their Emotions (each being aspects of Soul, Body and Mind, respectively).

The Soul belongs to the realm of Spirit in the same way that the Body belongs to the realm of Matter, and the Mind belongs to the realm of Energy. With conception, after an egg and sperm unite a Body forms out of an aggregation of Matter, also forming nerve circuitry that gives rise to a Mind and this becomes the vessel for a Soul. After death, the Soul eventually becomes indistinguishable from Spirit with the Body eventually decomposing into Matter of the earth and the Mind eventually transferring all of its Energy back to its source as well. During a person's life, these transitions of death are partially practiced in things like the diurnal night-day sleep cycle and meditation. It is understood that even orgasm can be a transcendent experience referred to as "la petite mort" (French for "the little death"). The phrase "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" addresses the Body's development from Matter after conception and its returning decomposition back to the earth after death.

Another way in which the transition of death is partially practiced is when the Mind forgets something. Forgetting, sleep and death are all aspects of the same function,^[1] and are analogous to the Sun setting after the day is done. In astrology (or astrotheology) this corresponds to the Autumnal Equinox transition toward the dead of Winter, with that quadrant being centered on Scorpio, where the Sun dies after being stung by the Scorpion. Remembering, waking up and being born are likewise all aspects of the Spring-season function. This star quadrant is centered on the bovine Taurus, the animal associated with agricultural plowing of fields which results in new life sprouting, and is correspondingly analogous to the Sun rising. Enlightenment is another aspect of the function of remembering/awakening/being born, where an individual person attains a profound connection with Source and their Soul is experienced as not separate from Spirit. A popular phrase is "being one with the universe", however the universe (the collection of all matter and energy) fails to include the primary aspect of existence: that of the Spirit realm. It is even more deficient to say "being one with everything", because things fail to include the aspects of existence that are not things: the realm of Energy as well as Spirit. A more accurate description of the Enlightenment experience is: being one with all. The opposite of Enlightenment has been referred to as "Endarkenment", a profound separation from everything. Psychologically, enlightenment can result in a mental state of elation, but can lead to the negative polarity of megalomania. Endarkenment can result in a mental state of depression, but the end result of absolute separation is that one can then become God of a new universe (see Luciferian Doctrine). So the ultimate separation cycles into becoming the ultimate birth.

Compare to diagrams of ancient wisdom like the Enneagram or Chakras, etc. Also note that the seven points of coupling between these three realms correspond with the centers of the seven geometric areas in the Star of David, when rotated 30-degrees. In relation to religious concepts of Holy Trinity, the realm of Energy corresponds to "Father" (Latin: Pater, relating to Pattern) and the realm of Matter (from the Latin: Mater, meaning "Mother") corresponds to "Son"/offspring. This diagram shows that the Spirit realm divides into Female/Male of Yang/Yin, with subsequent individuation into patterned substance giving rise to being (existing in time). The relationships between the realms depicted in this diagram can also be compared and contrasted to the physics equation E = mc², where Matter and Energy are understood to have a reciprocity with a constant of proportionality coming from a fundamental attribute of Light. Alternative ways of writing Einstein's equation are:

Energy, Matter and Unity (or Light-speed) are three separate realms that are in distinct relationship with each other. With a specific choice of units, such as the speed of light being "one light-year per year" or "one light-second per second", the unity relationship can be set to the equality:

In the pater-mater terminology, this equation can be understood as: The division of father and mother come from the unity of Spirit. Each of the three aspects, Spirit-Energy-Matter, exist dimensionally within separate realms. The Trinity shown in this diagram can also be understood as Logos as the source of Verb and Noun, with Energy and Matter being manifested aspects of the unified Logos. A defining characteristic of Word is vibration. With the realm of Spirit understood to be an acoustic metric (see æther below), then all matter and energy in the universe can be known as manifestation of vibration of æther within this acoustic metric. This understanding is consistent with physics theories such as Quantum Space Theory ('QST'), although such formulations will typically distance themselves from the concepts of spirit/soul and even aether.

This diagram is also consistent with the following philosophical quote:

Prana is implicate to matter but explicate to mind; mind is implicate to prana but explicate to soul; soul is implicate to mind but explicate to spirit; and the spirit is the source and suchness of the entire sequence.

The most important understanding of this diagram comes from how it relates to the classical elements attributed to Greek philosophy. If three were to be listed, these could be identified as: Earth, Wind & Fire. More typically, a set of four are stated where Water is included. But the complete set is: Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Aether. Modern science is dismissive of this concept of 'elements' because it is seen as an ignorant primitive misunderstanding of chemical elements that comprise the periodic table. However, the philosophical meaning of these five elements is metaphysical, not chemical.

The short set of three correspond to Body, Mind & Soul. Water corresponds to the center of emotion/heart/essence. And Aether is the element from which all others arise, thus corresponding to Spirit. The importance comes with how this maps the path of transformation into realization of full human potential. The steps happen through the process of 'baptism'. Lower self is rooted in earth. Higher self is unified with Spirit (/Aether). The path to attaining this requires the following steps:

- The body is purified through baptism with Water. (This is accomplished through practices like conscious bathing.)
- The next step is purification of the mind through baptism with Air. (This is accomplished through practices like meditation.)
- Purification of the Soul happens through baptism with Fire. (With the body and mind purified, the Soul is directly accessible for transition toward Aether/Spirit.)

The result of this process is rebirth into full consciousness (variously referred to as Christ-Krishna-Buddha-LaoTzu-Amon consciousness, or theosis). One analogy is the transition of a caterpillar into a chrysalis and then a butterfly.
