Gadgets

Below is a list of special gadgets users can enable on their preferences page, as defined by the definitions. This overview provides easy access to the system message pages that define each gadget's description and code.

Editing tools

• HotCat - Allows you to easily add / remove / change a category on a page, with name suggestions. [example]  (Export)

• Add an [edit] link for the lead section of a page  (Export)

Interface

• Suppress display of the fundraiser banner.  (Export)

• A clock in the personal toolbar that shows the current time in UTC and also provides a link to purge the current page.  (Export)

• Open external links in a new tab/window  (Export)

• Enhanced Interwikis - The interwiki box will be able to cycle from language names in English to their native languages and their actual links. To cycle, click "in other languages".  (Export)

• New Pages box - Adds a box to the left column, which shows the ten newest pages and updates every five seconds (using AJAX).  (Export)

• Recent Changes box - Adds a box to the left column, which shows the ten newest Article-namespace changes and updates every five seconds (using AJAX).  (Export)

• Highlight Administrators - Highlights the link to the talk pages of Administrators to make them easier to locate.  (Export)

• Sysop Detector - On userpages, display's a user's flags (sysop, bureaucrat, etc) in the title. Also highlights blocked editors.  (Export)

• UserMessages: Adds a script for welcoming registered and IP users, with {{Welcome}} and {{Welcomeip}}. (See bottom left, below toolbox.)  (Export)

Administrative

• Clean Delete Reasons - This script will remove the automatic deletion reasons to keep the delete logs cleaner. It will not affect the reason that come from the URL.  (Export)
