Unsourced[edit]

I haven't had time or opportunity to work on this page today, as I had intended to, and probably won't until tomorrow, but am posting 2 quotes here which I have found attributed to Brin, but have been unable to find a reliable source for as yet. If anyone knows of where they originate, please add them to the article. ~ Kalki 18:20, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Truly mature citizens ought not to need an intricate wrapping of laws and regulations, in order to do what common sense dictates as good for all.
  • Self-righteous people can talk themselves into forgetting they are part of a civilization. They can then feed on that culture, bringing it down. It's happened many times in the past. It could happen to us.
  • Costner's film captured the main character's motives, while removing 30 IQ points.

Startide Rising[edit]

I did not know how to format the haiku that appears on p. 418. It is supposed to be on the three separate lines, each one indented more than the line preceding it. If someone can do that, it would be appreciated.Markjoseph125 16:38, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Interstella War Award[edit]

This has been in the article since it was created. However, I was unable to Google any Interstella War Award or Interstellar War Award, and so have removed the statement. Markjoseph125 (talk) 20:25, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
