Are these really "mnemonics" - aids to memory? Some of them look like jokes that nobody would ever use to remember anything. 86.142.151.5 07:48, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry I missed the earlier discussion. However, this page is different from (some of) the other mnemonics pages discussed there. Many items listed here simply are not mnemonics. They are spoof acronyms of apparently humorous (often deprecatory) intent. Surely there is a better place for such graffiti? 67.130.129.135 00:11, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
When I saw this page, I said, "Oh wow, a place to put silly derogatory acronyms for computer industry trademarks." Only then I did I realize that this was an official Wikimedia website and not one of those joke Wikis. I'm new to here, so I dont know what the standards are, but obviously if this was Wikipedia this page would be gone in an instant and not still around a year after its creation.
