The Great War: American Front[edit]
I've replaced most of the quotes, as they were long narrative stretches. If I'm not mistaken, the intention of Wikiquote is to be a Bartlett's-like compendium of "quotable quotes," mostly shorter, pithier, and more incisive. See, for example, "Being sure wasn’t the same thing as being right" (page 325), or Yossel's description of the front on page 349. Of course, anyone is free to disagree!
