Mr President...[edit]

Would love to add the famous quote "Mr. President, that is bullshit!" As referenced by no less than President Carter Carter, Jimmy (2010). White House Diary. New York: Farrar, Straus and Giroux. pp. 492, 493. This was Rickover's response to President Reagan when Reagan removed him from his position in the Navy.

But I know that a lot of the people who come here are nuke sub guys, you guys consider Rickover your guy, so I'll leave the suggestion here and hang back.

Untitled[edit]

"You have to learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make them all yourself." - This quotation looks very much like this one:

"You must learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t possibly live long enough to make them all yourself." Sam Levenson --Miss.hyper 19:59, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Editorial on the difference between paper reactors and real ones[edit]

Anyone out there have the original journal editorial on the difference between paper reactors and real ones?

  • At any moment during a twenty-four-hour day, only one-third of the people in the world are asleep. The other two-thirds are awake and creating problems.
  • Fish don't vote!
    • On why submarines came to be named after cities and states rather than ocean fish.
  • Good ideas are not adopted automatically. They must be driven into practice with courageous impatience.
