"A feller told me last night I was a breath of fresh air. Well, he didn't exactly put it that way. He said I looked like the end of a long, hard winter."

I played some shows with Minnie on tour in the early 1980s and I remember this joke from her routine. This quote isn't exactly what she used to say. It was more like, "A feller told me last night I was like the first breath of spring. Well, he didn't exactly put it that way. He said I looked like the end of a long, hard winter." I don't remember the exact wording, but without the allusion to early spring, the meaning of the joke is lost. HaminaHamina 20:43, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

I've amended to agree with you. It's unsourced anyway and your version is clearly better. Do you remember any other lines of hers worth adding?--Poetlister 21:07, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
