[edit] Proposed merge of Nero Wolfe into Rex Stout
I would prefer to keep the Nero Wolfe article separate from the Rex Stout article. Although Stout's article is presently a stub, it can be expanded. — WFinch 19:46, 7 July 2009 (UTC) Please see the comparable articles on Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle. — WFinch 19:59, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with WFinch that the Nero Wolfe article should remain separate from the Rex Stout article. Surely Nero Wolfe is as worthy of a separate article as Sherlock Holmes. - Amy Duncan 20:23, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

- I suggested the merge originally, but I don't object to having a separate article. If it is kept separate, it should probably also mirror some other features of the Sherlock Holmes example:
- Link to it more prominently on the author page.
- Make clear in the introduction that the article is about a collection of literary works, rather than a fictional character per se.
- Put the interlinear citations and comments below the quotes, rather than above.
- And, there is no need for boldface attributions to characters.
- This is also just a suggestion. The Sherlock Holms example is more consistent with the standard template for literary works, but "consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds."—Emerson ~ Ningauble 21:28, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- Good advice, and I appreciate the link to the template. — WFinch 00:15, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
