[edit] Suggestion about the Article status

Before I begin, I'd like to compliment whoever added which quote comes from which game. (Example: "It's a-me, Mario! -Super Mario 64") That saves a lot of time. Now for my suggestion.

In my opinion, we need to separate this article into two separate articles. The electronic game quotes should be separate from the quotes in the series of TV shows. As it stands now, everything is a big jumbled mess and you can't separate the video game quotes from the quotes for each of the TV shows without searching tirelessly.

One article might be called "Super Mario Bros. Series" or "Super Mario Bros. (Video Game)", and the other one called "Super Mario Bros. Television Series". I think that would be easier to look through, as some may not care for the show quotes or vice-versa, and so they could find the quotes they want and not have nightmarish experiences trying to see which ones they want.

Just to clarify, that wouldn't mean individual articles for every individual game or show. That would be too much. I only would recommend the two articles, one for games, one for shows. As I mentioned above, the format of mentioning which quote comes from which game is appropriate enough. By the way, the article names are suggestions. If someone can think of more appropriate names, that would be cool. Tell me what you think of my suggestion to have separate articles. Thank you.

P.S. I hope it isn't a problem that I recreated this talk page. I don't know Wikiquote's policies very well. I read the warning carefully and now declare as a statement of good faith, that in my judgment, it should be appropriate to restart the talk page, as there are issues that need to be dealt with and can't be communicated any other way that I am aware of. 98.202.38.225 02:11, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

A previous version of this article was deleted, along with its talk page, as discussed here. The present article is slightly better, as some of the quotes are sourced. However, many are not sourced, and other concerns raised in the discussion still apply, as do the limits at WQ:LOQ. If the article is not further improved to address these issues then it may get deleted again.

That said, I agree that quotes definitely should be organized by the publication in which they appear. ~ Ningauble 15:55, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
