Reasoning Behind Censorship

Why are some words censored on this page? I can't find any other page that is like this. Somebody's even censored the "cocks" in "cocks pistol". Is there a reason? Skywalkert65b 23:24, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

There are other pages with such "censorship". This occurs because some editors believe that such material should not be included in an unrestricted website like Wikiquote. However, Wikiquote strives for accuracy in quotations, including words that might be censored in other presentations.
