This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen page.

This article falls within a proposed limits on quotations policy.

The subject of this article is a film, and as a result, the proposal would set a limitation of five quotes per hour (about one quote every 12 minutes).

If you would like to add another quote to the page, you should consider whether to remove one that is already there in order to keep within the bounds of fair use of copyright material.

First of all I don't see any copyright violations and second of all its a 151 minute film I think so don't trim this page and final of all these quotes are to notable for deletions.(Dennys 21:42, 6 July 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I've restored the copyright tag - based on its running time, this page should be limited to 12 quotes (which it is currently above). See WQ:LOQ for more details on the established limits. ~ UDScott 19:00, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have trimmed this article, but could only find 9 quotes that were slightly less mind-numbingly pointless than the rest, so there is room to add 3 more if anybody feels so inclined. I considered nominating the whole toy advertisement for deletion, but instead I added three reviewer quotes. ~ Ningauble 14:01, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It seems you've just picked three negative reviews? I know it was given mostly negative reviews (20% approval on rotten tomatoes, average 35% on metacritic, but audience approval was positive with a B+ on CinemaScore. The inclusion of this section to me simply seems to be a way to badmouth the film. The title "About Revenge of the Fallen" doesn't seem to make much sense either - it's not really "about" the film so much as a collection of (negative) reviews. --86.136.71.39 14:33, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to add balancing opinions from other notable sources. "About" sections are sometimes labeled "Criticism," but some readers dislike the negative connotation even though criticism can be positive or negative.
I thought the Ebert and Wilonsky quotes were particularly quotable observations on the significant theme of film used as a franchise marketing tool. However, the Travers quote is considerably weaker because the analogy refers to an ephemeral situation. ~ Ningauble 15:04, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think this page should be restored to its bigger form. When the edit form over 19,000 bytes to under 6000, I felt that was a mistake and should be undone. I also don't care for the quotes from reviews.

Update[edit]

Due to random IP addresses are editing this page more often the Checkcopyright template is back until the page is trimmed again.(StarWarsFanBoy 20:41, 7 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
