This article falls within a proposed limits on quotations policy.

The subject of this article is a book, and as a result, the proposal would set a limitation of five lines of prose (or eight lines of poetry) for every ten pages.

If you would like to add another quote to the page, you should consider whether to remove one that is already there in order to keep within the bounds of fair use of copyright material.

"magic world" quotation deleted[edit]

In editing the article's sourced text from the 1968 source version to that of 1967, I deleted the following passage, because I did not find it in the 1967 edition: "In actual fact the female function is to explore, discover, intent [sic], solve problems, crack jokes, make music – all with love. In other words, create a magic world." However, it has a similarity to a passage quoted from the 1967 edition: "In actual fact, the female function is to relate, groove, love and be herself, irreplaceable by anyone else; the male function is to produce sperm. We now have sperm banks." Page 6. Possibly copies of her self-published 1967 edition varied on point; it is also possible the 1968 edition had it but without the author's agreement on the particular wording, since she seems to have challenged various edits. The word choice of "intent" looks like a misspelling, and misspellings are not characteristic of the '67 edition. I'm therefore dubious of putting it back into the article, even by sourcing it to the 1968 edition. Nick Levinson 06:11, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
