The Stepford Wives is a 1975 sci-fi-horror/thriller film about a woman who has come to the quaint little town of Stepford, Connecticut with her family, but soon discovers there lies a sinister truth in the all too perfect behavior of the female residents. The film was remade in 2004 under the same name, but was written as a comedy vs. a serious horror/thriller film.

Directed by Bryan Forbes. Written by William Goldman, based on the 1972 Ira Levin novel of the same name.

Joanna: It'll happen to me before then. When you come back, there will be a woman with my name and my face, she'll cook and clean like crazy, but she won't take pictures and she won't be me! She'll be... like the robots at Disneyland.
Dr. Fancher: Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to give you a prescription that you get filled, then you get your children and GET THE HELL OUT! Don't tell your husband, don't tell anybody, just get in your car and drive somewhere you feel safe.
Carol: I'll just die if I don't get the recipe.
Joanna: Why?
