Sri Sri Yogananda Saraswathi

Sri Sri Yogananda Saraswathi is an Enlightened Spiritual Master and the Head of Sri Nithyananda Yogashrama in Kondevoor, Upplala (P.O.), Kasaragod (Dt.), Kerala, India. Shri Nithyananda Yogashrama is the spiritual centre of the Jagadguru Shree Nithyananda Mahapeetam Charitable Trust. 
Sri Sri Yogananda Guruji is living in the midst of the society and leading the villagers of Kondevoor and Uppala and leading the devotees of Sri Nithyananda Bhagavan to the path of self realisation. He is an upasaka of Sri Gayathri Devi, the Veda Matha. 

Spritual Work of Sri Sri Yogananda Guruji

Sri Sri Yogananda Guruji's spiritual work is based on the panchakshari mantra (five-fold) starts with the letter 'A', that is Anna, Akshara, Arogya, Adhara and Ashraya.

Anna means food. Food is Brahma as the Vedas proclaims. The free food for the 450 children in the two schools of the ashram and another 100 devotees both who works in the ashram and the daily visitors together constitute the bebfactors of the 'Annadan' praogamme of the ashram. The cultivation of rice in the paddy field using only the organic fertilisers made from cow dung, cow urine, etc. Many young men and women participate in the cultivation of the rice in Kondevoor. It is a part of the imparting of the yoga to them, as working in the paddy field increase there shraddha and patience and lead ulimately to the Guru and God!   Akshara means education for the poor village children. There are two schools under this programme. One is Jagadguru Shri Nithyananda Vidyapeeta and the other is Govt. L.P. School, Kodibail, Uppala. The education is free for the 450 school children. More than that they are provided with free food on a daily basis. The education is based on the Baharatheeya Samskrithi, imparting Sanskrit language, Bhajan,  and Agnihothra. Guruji also gives satsang regulary which is also the part of Gurukula education for imparting spiritual education to all !

Arogya means health to the weak and deprived in the society. The main elements of the Aarogya programme includes free yearly check up programe in Allopathy, free check ups and supply of medicine monthly in Ayurveda Nadichkilsa, and free check ups, counselling classes and medicines for Diabetic and sugar patients by the Ayurvedic expert Sri Goraknath Swamiji of Edavanakkad, Ernakulam. As part of this Aarogya yojana a yagam is going to be conducted in the Kondevoor ashram in March 2015. The Yagam is named as Bruhath Gayathri Grutha Samprapthi Maha Yaga and Chathurveda Samhitha Yaga, which will be conducted between March 22 to 29, 2015. The divine aushada or medicine, named as Gayathri Grutha will be prepared which will be beneficial for mental patients and those who are afflicted with spiritual doshas.

 Aadhara means jobs for the jobless. A programme which assures the opportunity to earn for better living and takes care of their family. Different programmes are their for the aadhar programme. Giving the opportunity to work in the Goushala, kitchen, paddy field and vegetable farms assure some daily earning for the needy jobless mothers and their young children and also the elder men.

Ashraya means land for the landless and homes for the homeless. Many poor villagers were staying in rented houses and they were gifted with the programme of Aashraya and now settled in new house and their own lands. More than 60 people got teir own lands and 17 families got new houses from this programme. It is a very vibrant and continuous programme.

Facilities

   Sri Nithyananda Yogashrama is the unique centre for self realisation. It is always there to help the humanity and therefore becomes the only hope of the people in Kasaragod District, Kerala. The ashram has a cow shed, named as Kamadhenu Goushala, a kitchen to prepare food for the 450 school children and another 100 devotees and ashram workers on a daily basis. The ashram has two schools, one Jagadguru Shri Nithyananda Vidyappeta and the other, the Govt. L.P.School, Kodibail.
