John Coleman

Quotes[edit]

  • As a scientist, I know that global warming doesn't really exist at all.
    • The John Birch Society, 20 March, 2008.
  • Now allow me to talk a little about the science behind the global warming frenzy. I have dug through thousands of pages of research papers, including the voluminous documents published by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. I have worked my way through complicated math and complex theories. Here’s the bottom line: the entire global warming scientific case is based on the increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from the use of fossil fuels. They don’t have any other issue. Carbon Dioxide, that’s it. Hello Al Gore; Hello UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Your science is flawed; your hypothesis is wrong; your data is manipulated.
  • While do I call it a hoax? Well, there's an agenda: both a political agenda and an environmental agenda behind the hoax. There are people who feel that our civilized nation, our advanced civilized nation, runs counter to their environmental religion as it were. They think we all ought to be living back in the days of Tarzan and Jane, back in the jungle. They want to do away with our automobiles, our fossil fuels, which would steal our iPods and our computers and our television sets, our way of life.
  • The western climate establishment receives a great deal of public money as a result of their cheating. Obtaining money under false pretences, by deception, is technically fraud. We can leave it to government auditors and criminal investigators to sort that out as necessary, but in the meantime what matters most is whether the western climate establishment is right or wrong. If they are right, we aren't doing enough to curb emissions and prevent disaster. If they are wrong, we are wasting time and resources that would be better spent elsewhere, entrenching a vast gravy train of parasites, and extending the influence of government into our economy.

  • I have studied the issues of so-called global warming—or now they call it climate change since the warming has stopped—I have studied the issues carefully and completely as a good scientist can, and reached an absolute, firm conclusion that there is no global warming.
  • To think that the worst scientific mistake of all time was occurred in my lifetime. And I'm a scientist. It's very distressing. And certainly my goal, in what's left of my life, to battle it with all I've got.
    • 9th International Conference on Climate Change, July 24, 2014.

Quotes about Coleman[edit]

  • You're not a scientist. You got a degree in media studies and became a television weatherman. And while you claim to be a meteorologist, the American Meteorological Society disagrees. You're not on the list of certified broadcast meteorologists. In other words, television weather personalities with degrees in meteorology. And the biggest irony of the lot, Coleman keeps promoting a petition of scientists against anthropogenic climate change, but his lack of a science degree means he isn't even qualified to sign it.
