[edit] Please don't remove {{vfd}} tags from articles
I notice you removed the VFD tag from the page Buddhist-Christian Parallels. I have restored it, and ask that you not remove it again. Once a page has been nominated for deletion, it undergoes a two-week long process wherein editors can vote and otherwise express their opinions about keeping or deleting an article. In this case, the appropriate place to explain why you feel the page should be kept is at its VFD nomination. Thank you. —LrdChaos 19:01, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Are you an admin? and you have NOT given any reasons so far. Why did you nominate a page for deletion and what is the criteria? I hope this page will not be deleted without notice, as it has several quotes in a table--149.4.115.3 19:03, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Let me clear up some possible misconceptions. First, LrdChaos is an admin, but that is irrelevant. Any editor can nominate an article for deletion, which invites the entire Wikiquote community to review the article, especially its subject's notability, its content, and its sources. Second, any editor may also comment on such a nomination, registering their opinion on whether the article should be deleted, kept, redirected, renamed, merged with another article, or moved to another Wikimedia project. Finally, no one should remove a VfD tag. Even admins rarely do this unless there is compelling evidence of a bad-faith nomination (like nominating a well-established, well-sourced article in retaliation for someone else nominating another article). ~ Jeff Q (talk) 00:05, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
