Copying Wikipedia articles[edit]

An editor using this IP address recently created a film article, The Pebble and the Penguin, by copying its Wikipedia stub article to Wikiquote. Please do not do this. This editor also created the article An All Dogs Christmas Carol merely by adding a cast list and two Wikipedia image links which do not work here, suggesting it was originally intended for or added to Wikipedia.

Please note that Wikiquote is a collection of quotes, not an encyclopedia where this information is more appropriate. Some of these elements are indeed included in WQ film articles, but they are not useful articles unless they include quotes. More information on the format and content of Wikiquote film articles can be found at Wikiquote:Templates, especially at Wikiquote:Templates/Films. Thank you for your cooperation. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 07:51, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
