Religion[edit]

Hi Alan Liefting, thank you for your contribution, but I am not sure if it was a good idea to separate Religion specially without any discussion in advance. I were happier if you let us know this idea and give the time to consider it. Such a big article isn't good to be treated so drastically and uniliterary in my opinin. Also I am not sure you follow our formatting convention. Would you mind us to get back the original version once? --Aphaia 10:23, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I had thought long and hard about the move and I feel that it is not a "drastic" move. The naming and formatting can be altered if it is not appropriate. I can see no fault with the current arrangement. You would have to agree that the page was getting quite unweildly. Splitting it into the the three seperate articles with appropriate names and with all three pages referenced to each other seemed a logical progression. Alan Liefting 21:41, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply. I have a different opinion, so I don't think I have to agree to support your splitting. I think it isn't totally NPOV, in particular. See ya on Talk:Religion. --Aphaia 19:10, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I've read a debate on Religion quotes. And I liked your saying: "Is the imbalance [of the numbers of anti-religious and pro-religious quotes] due to a higher number of anti-religious quotes being made in our society over quotes supporting religion?" As a freethinker and irreligious I want to thank you for this brilliant quote and consider it should be included in the Religion article. 89.236.214.174 09:22, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiquote is for quotes from notable people and since I am not notable it would not be appropriate to add it. Alan Liefting 09:57, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, however, I really appreciate your quote :-) PS. Maybe we should create a special page for collecting quotes of users? 89.236.214.174 10:20, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for kind words. Collecting user quotes may be easier option than making myself a Notable Person!! Alan Liefting 11:18, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
