Charles W. Howard[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Charles W. Howard, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but it may not satisfy Wikiquote's criteria for inclusion, for the reasons given in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikiquote is not" and Wikiquote's deletion policy).

You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Votes for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. On citing references, the easiest thing is to look at a few articles. Some administrators, such as BD2412 and myself, list articles we have started or overhauled, so those would be good ones to start with. Please come back to me if anything is unclear.--Collingwood (talk) 07:22, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
PS: you shouldn't have removed the PROD. I've now moved for a vote for deletion.--Collingwood (talk) 07:24, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The PROD template can be removed by anyone; that's the whole point of it. It's only for uncontested deletions -- for articles that clearly don't belong. LtPowers (talk) 12:17, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
