Ujjwal Patni[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Ujjwal Patni, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but it may not satisfy Wikiquote's criteria for inclusion, for the reasons given in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikiquote is not" and Wikiquote's deletion policy).

You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Votes for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Ujjwal Patni[edit]

Thanks for your message. I understand your good intentions, but I'm afraid that there's little which is really that quotable on the page, and his notability is rather borderline. Cheers. --Tryst (talk) 15:17, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sincere thanks for your reply. I am not able to understand the word borderline notability. He is an author of more than 6 books in 12 language on a positive subject. 12 language is an achievement for any author by any standard and indirectly it indicates the fan following and quality of writing. Government and non government awards Awards as a trainer, Government and non government awards as an author, a Guinness world record winner for a leadership event, multiple Tv shows, numerous publications in national dailies...what else is required for being notable. I request you to please guide me to present this subject

While he is notable for the purposes of Wikipedia, Wikiquote often has slightly higher standards. On Wikipedia, the key thing is that the information in the article is verifiable, and that third parties have written about the subject. On Wikiquote, the most important thing is that the quotes are memorable enough to be repeated elsewhere, if the subject is not of extraordinary significance. Thanks. --Tryst (talk) 14:30, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the direction. I understood your view point. I just extracted the quotes from his book and presented here without filtering them as i was not aware of this angle. Very soon , i will come up with memorable quotes that are repeated elsewhere. Till then...request you to hold.
