These templates are designed to provide article-to-article linking between Meta-Wiki and its Wikimedia sister projects.

This page is about coordination in the names and parameter uses in all of this kind of Wikimedia templates.

General considerations[edit]

Par is used generally in the template name to point to a concrete page name in a sister project (i.e.wikiquotepar).

Pages needing to be moved:

Links to pages on the Wiktionary site:

  • Box format
    • Template:Wiktionary (uses PAGENAME and generates a search rather than linking directly to a page — because Wiktionary article titles are fully case sensitive, this may not yield the desired result)
    • Template:Wiktionarypar (uses parameter as in {{Wiktionarypar|SomePage}})
  • To define a word in-line with other text, create an interwiki link in the format: [[wiktionary:SomeWord|definition of SomeWord]].
