Arnaldo Forlani

Arnaldo Forlani (1925 – 2023) was an Italian politician who served as Prime Minister of Italy from 1980 to 1981. He also held the office of Deputy Prime Minister of Italy], Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Defence. In 1981, together with Bettino Craxi and Giulio Andreotti, Forlani promoted the Pentapartito, the political coalition between the five major Italian parties that ruled Italy between 1981 and 1991. At the time of his death in 2023, he was both the oldest living and the longest-lived Italian prime minister.
