What's the difference between this category and Category:Family films? Do we really need both? ~ UDScott (talk) 18:07, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Family film" seems to be a marketing distinction for films that are less likely to drive adult chaperones into a suicidal funk from sheer inanity, or a promotional spin intended to suggest wholesome thematic content. The number of films cross listed in both categories appears to indicate it is a distinction without difference.

Wikipedia deleted "Category:Family films" four years ago as too subjective, and I would endorse deleting it here as well (after merging any that are not cross listed). ~ Ningauble (talk) 19:49, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that is what I meant (should have been a bit more explicit). I don't see the need for both and Children's films is fine for me. I'll nominate the other for VFD. Thanks. ~ UDScott (talk) 20:14, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
