Quotes
- Translation: No, I'm serious. I'm happy with who I am... [If I was offered position of President,] I would have felt good, but this is a difficult position. Being a head of state is hard work, I'll not have enough time for my other interests.

- Translation: I believe, that from time to time, children have to be led on tours to orphanages, [and] boarding schools for disabled children, so that they see what the result of ill-conceived sex life, a premature one, is. And to show the children of these freaks, – cripples, let them see that. This works better than 10 hours spent on talks and lectures.

- Translation: We must teach our children to acquire knowledge in three languages. Because in the near future, we will all need to know Chinese as well. Our great southern neighbor is our destiny. China is developing at a tremendous pace, despite the fact that there is a slight slowdown now. Nevertheless, China is China; it is not in a hurry; it thinks in terms of a "100 years". And everything will be fine there.

Quotes about Nazarbayeva
[edit]- The country is ruled by a kleptocratic elite that has grown rich off the back of money stolen from its people. Until 2019, its autocratic dictator was Nursultan Nazarbayev. In Kazakhstan, just 162 people own 55% of the wealth — mostly members of Nazarbayev's family or close associates. The country has a poor human rights record and little media freedom... There is Dariga Nazarbayeva and her rumoured husband Kairat Sharipbayev. Dariga is Nazarbayev's eldest daughter. Her empire, estimated by Forbes at $595 million, is hidden in an incredibly complex system of offshore companies, foundations and trusts. Three of her London properties were subject to a failed unexplained wealth order, but investigators at Source Material allege that Nazarbayeva may have misled the UK High Court. Meanwhile, Sharipbayev is allegedly one of the beneficiaries of a $334 million fraud at Kazakh bank Bank RBK, which has been labelled "the bank of the Nazarbayev family".
