Wehrfaehe, planlose aber bewußt durchgeführte Terrorangriffe anglo-amerikanischer Flieger legten die ehem sächsische Residenzstadt Dresden fast vollständig in Trümmer. Unersetzliche, von der ganzen Welt bewunderte, verehrte und oft aufgesuchte Kulturstätten, die Künstler und Baumeister von Ruf schufen, wurden dabei in Schutt und Asche gelegt. Soe zeight u.B.den jetzt völlig ausgebrannten und zerstörten Zwinger. Von den Pavillins stehen lediglich Grundmauer und Fensterbögen Hier und da ragt aus dem ... der Trümmer eine beschädigte "Puttengruppe" oder eine nicht wieder zu ersetzende Steingruppe hervor.
