English: Federico Faggin, the designer of Intel 4004.
When engineer Federico Faggin joined in the early 1970s, Intel was primarily a memory chip company. When he designed the Intel 4004, which became the world's first microprocessor in 1971, it brought new opportunities for the fledgling high tech company., which later led Intel to become the world's largest chipmaker with microprocessors as its core business.
