  • From 1950 to 1952, the Burns and Allen television show aired only every other week because there was only one sponsor for it--the Carnation Company. When BF Goodrich (as seen on back of photo) also became a sponsor of the show, the show was expanded to a weekly telecast, with Carnation sponsoring the program one week and Goodrich the next. The sponsors alternated weeks.
