DescriptionGuanyin at Puh Toh Tze temple (11931739374).jpg
Built in 1980, the temple stands out with its traditional Chinese roofing and structure. Ten large statues of deities adorn the temple with the Goddess of Mercy, Kwan Yin (also sometines spelt Guanyin) , standing tall at the main entrance of the temple. (seen here). In fact, this large statue greets you right inside the parking lot. Guanyin, or Kwun Yam is considered the goddess of mercy in Taoism. She is in fact the boddhisattava (celestial being in Taoism and Buddhism) associated with compassion. (Kota Kinabalu, East Malaysia, Nov. 2013)
