Description
English: Atsugi, Japan (Dec. 7, 2002) -- A young boy from the Elizabeth Saunders Home for orphans near the U.S. Naval Air Facility launches into the lap of Santa Claus. Both the U.S. Navy and Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF), Chief Petty Officer Associations (CPOAs) have sponsored the home by setting up festivities at Christmas time for years. This year, the CPOAs from both nations brought Santa to see the children and deliver their Christmas presents in person. Both CPOAs work throughout the year helping the staff and faculty with projects around the grounds of the orphans' home as well as spending time with the children.
