Description |
English: Roman statue, copy after a Hellenistic original, from circa 150 BC, of the so-called Marine Venus type. In the 17th century a perfume bottle was added under the right hand, leading to this work's best-known name. The head comes from a restoration carried out by Valeriano Salvatierra in the early 19th century.
