Fraidy Cat
Fraidy Cat is a 1942 American one-reel animated cartoon and is the 4th Tom and Jerry cartoon released. It was produced in Technicolor, released to theaters on January 17, 1942 by Metro-Goldwyn Mayer and reissued for re-release on May 10, 1952.

[edit]- Radio Announcer: [laughs] Once again, the phantom is abroad. Trapped in the lonely tower, the girl can hear it's mocking laughter echo louder, up the vaulted staircase.
- [Man chuckles]
- Tom: [gasps]
- Radio Announcer: Then a clawlike hand falls heavily upon the latch. Slowly, the door creaks open.
- [Door creaks]
- Radio Announcer: A ghostly form drifts through the blackness of the chamber. The helpless girl feels her hair stand on end. Icy chills race down her spine. Her heart leaps into her throat. Closer.
- Tom: [gulps]
- Radio Announcer: [screams]
- [Jerry laughs silently.]
- Radio Announcer: And that, my dear children, concludes this evening's Witching Hour. [Tom sighs with relief] And you do believe in ghosts...don't you?
- [Tom nods]
- Radio Announcer: Hello? This is the operator. Will you please get off the line?
- Mammy Two-Shoes: Man, that sounds like a burglar problem around in that parlor.
- Mammy Two-Shoes: Mmm-hmm. If you's lookin' for trouble, burglar man, here I come.
- Mammy Two-Shoes: [screams] Thomas, you no good cat! Attackin' from the rear, eh? Well, TAKE THIS! AND THIS!! And get outta here... ...you good for nothin', moth-eatin' mousetrap!
