Hardcastle and McCormick

Hardcastle and McCormick (1983–1986) was an American action crime drama television series that aired on ABC about Judge Milton C. Hardcastle and ex-con and race car driver "Skid" Mark McCormick who follow up on cases that were dismissed due to technicalities.

Season 1

Rolling Thunder: Part 1 [1.01]

Hardcastle: [Showing McCormick a stack of manila file folders] What I got here, wise guy, is 200 cases that came in and out of this courthouse. Everyone of 'em was guilty and every one of 'em walked away clean because of legal technicalities! Sometimes witnesses disappeared. Sometimes they died... Now, I want these guys, see? They escaped justice and I know good and well they're on the outside now committing new crimes. So that's where you come in, see? Now what we're gonna do, we're gonna hunt 'em down, we're gonna find out what they're doing now, and we're gonna bust 'em! You're gonna be my fast gun!

Hardcastle: Sure! Count on the Lone Ranger riding the plains dispensing justice. You didn't see Billy the Kid getting off on a technicality. Hunt 'em, hear 'em, and hang 'em! That's the way!

McCormick: [Incredulously] I'm in a nightmare here!

Hardcastle: Listen, they had respect for the law back then, y'know. Wise guys rule the world today, but we're gonna step in and sling some lead, kid.

McCormick: [Sarcastically] Yeah. Get 'em up, Scout!

McCormick: If you can't find 'em, grind 'em.

Hardcastle: I want to get a couple of dogs. Big Dobermans. To patrol the grounds, keep anyone from coming over the gate.

McCormick: You don't need dogs for that. You have me.

Hardcastle: You're not housebroke.

Hardcastle: What are you lookin' at?

McCormick: You know Hardcase, when you're not sawing my head off, you're not such a bad guy.

Hardcastle: Remember that when you're taking your cold shower tomorrow.

Hardcastle: Listen, Sands just called and left a message for you. He wants to meet you over at the track they're using for the movie.

McCormick: Now?

Hardcastle: Yeah, he's either going to step on your head for talking to his girl, or he's going to offer you a job.

McCormick: That's what I like about you Hardcastle, you put everything in the right perspective.

Hardcastle: I know.

Hardcastle: Come on, do you want to get it fixed or don't you?

McCormick: Now listen, you told me you would give me ten bucks to fix this thing. Well, if you're going to watch it's fifteen and if you help, it's twenty.

Hardcastle: Looks empty.

McCormick: Think there are any dogs in here?

Hardcastle: I don't know, why? I thought you liked dogs.

McCormick: I do, but not on my leg.

The Homecoming: Part 2 [1.20]

McCormick: Old judges never die, they just lose their appeal.
