Hippocleides
Hippocleides or Hippoclides (Ancient Greek: Ἱπποκλείδης) was an Athenian nobleman, who served as Eponymous Archon for the year 566 BC – 565 BC. He was the son of Teisander (Τείσανδρος).

- From a story in Herodotus (VI, 129), in which Hippocleides loses the chance to marry Cleisthenes' daughter after getting drunk and dancing on his head. Herodotus says the phrase was a common expression in his own day.
