Jeremy Philip Northam (born December 1, 1961) is an English actor. He is best known for his roles in The Net (1995), Emma (1996), An Ideal Husband (1999), Amistad (1997), The Winslow Boy (1999), Gosford Park (2001), and Enigma (2001), and for his television roles as Dean Martin in Martin and Lewis (2002), as Thomas More in the Showtime series The Tudors (2007–2008), and appeared as Prime Minister Anthony Eden in the Netflix series The Crown (2016–2017).
