Murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German
Appearance
The murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German, also known as the Delphi murders, occurred on February 13, 2017, in Delphi, Indiana. Their bodies were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, part of the Delphi Historic Trails, from where the girls disappeared the previous day. The murders received extensive media coverage, in part due to video and audio recordings released by law enforcement that came from German's smartphone, which recorded an individual believed to be the killer.
The case remained unresolved for five years until 2022 when Richard M. Allen was arrested and charged with the murders. He was found guilty in 2024 and sentenced to 130 years in prison

- Jerry Holeman: This is your opportunity.
- Richard Allen: Can you please stop giving me opportunities. I’m not going to sit here and tell you something I didn’t do. I’m not going to I’m involved with something that I wasn’t involved with.
- Jerry Holeman: Tell me what you did do that day.
- Richard Allen: I did not murder two little girls.
- Jerry Holeman: What did you do?

Richard Allen's interrogation by Carroll County Prosecutor’s Office on October 13, 2022
[edit]- Steve Mullin: Basically, this. Either you were out there to do this to the girls, or you were out there to be able to introduce the girls to somebody else.
- Richard Allen: OK, good luck finding anything that points in that direction. I mean, it’s not me. You’re not going to make me believe it’s me. You’re not going to find anything that ties me to those murders. So, I’m not really that concerned. You know, you went from trying to, I don’t know what you want to say, get my trust and then slowly lure me into telling you I killed somebody, and I’m not going to do it.
