Nischal Basnet (Nepali: निश्चल बस्नेत) is a Nepalese director, writer, actor, and playback singer who predominantly works in Nepali cinema.

• I think the most important thing in a character to see that it has a presence. If people get angry after watching my character in the cinema that is almost negative, then I’ll feel quiet a satisfied and feel that I gave justice to the character.
