Shirley Sherwood

Shirley Angela Sherwood OBE (née Cross; born 1 July 1933) is a British biochemist, botanist, collector of botanical art, author, and philanthropist. She was appointed in the 2012 New Year Honours Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).

- A next big step forward was the building of the Shirley Sherwood Gallery by my family. It opened in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in 2008, and stands next to the Marianne North Gallery.
