Merging William Luther Pierce and The Turner Diaries

[edit]

It has been suggested by @: that the Wikiquote article about this novel, The Turner Diaries, should be merged with the article about its author, William Luther Pierce.
Disagree The two topics should be treated separately. The Turner Diaries, it is reported, has no literary merit, but is believed to be linked to multiple acts of terrorism within the United States in many valuable mainstream sources. Pierce also wrote a second, lesser known novel, Hunter, which may have its own WQ article in due course. It is desirable articles do not have multiple topics combined together in order to retain coherence. Wikipedia, which is the model for how this website is organised, treats Pierce and his novels as suitable for separate articles. Philip Cross (talk) 12:12, 9 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Since we are only allowed to quote 1.25 percent of a book, most short novels on WQ are in the author's page. If one would be strict, the article seems to quote already more than the limit of 1.25 percent of the text. Wikipedia does not have a such limitation and wikipedia can have large pages even for short novels, so the comparison is irrelevant. -- (talk) 13:34, 9 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
