Hi, this is just a dump of all my quotes from various media that I've collected.

Books/Anime/Manga/Media[edit]

30 Rock[edit]

  • "I like to think of myself as a winner, and I like to surround myself with winners."
  • "Ambition is the willingness to kill the things you love and eat them in order to stay alive."

After Life[edit]

  • "And I have all those memories. That's all we are anyway, really, memories...I wouldn't change anything. If I went back and changed one thing I didn't like, I might lose something that that bad thing eventually took me to. You shouldn't regret anything, or think, 'Well, if I went back, I might do this or I might do that.'"
  • "You can't change the world, but you can change yourself."

Arrow[edit]

  • "The first thing you forget about somebody when they're gone is their voice. You can remember their face and the way they move, but you can't hold on to the way they sound."
  • "The island didn't make you strong. It revealed you to be weak."

Bitterwood[edit]

  • "Just because our lives are tied together doesn't make us puppets. We are free to cut our strings."

Bleach[edit]

  • "Tell me I'm most hated in the world"
  • "I am myself, even if the whole world should change"
  • "What is a heart? If I rip open your chest, will I see it? If I crack open your skull, will I find it in there? You damn humans speak so easily of it, almost as if...I see...yes, this...this thing in my hand is the heart?"
  • "You want the reason...For fighting? Why don't you just accept it, Ichigo? You seek out the fights. You desire the power. Isn't that right, Ichigo? Everyone who searches for power without exception searches for battle. Do you fight in order to become more powerful? Or you want more power in order to fight? I don't know, and I don't care. The only thing I know for sure is that guys like us were born this way! We were born to fight, Ichigo!! Your instincts will keep leading you towards new battles. It's the only way to become stronger. It's the only way you have! If you want the power to control your enemy, take that sword in your hand and cut him down!! That's your only option! Fight, Ichigo! That's the only road that continues in front of you, and the only road that remains behind you!!"
  • "I dream of an ice field. I can feel the ice. I hear a voice echoing. It’s squashing and wrapping me like thunder echoing in the distance. I hear a voice squashing and wrapping me like thunder echoing in the distance, like a flower touching my palm

I hear a voice echoing, squashing and wrapping me like thunder landing in my palm.

I hear a voice, distant, close, echoing. I have decided to go after it, even if I am led to die in a field of ice."

  • "In the end, villains are all cowards."

Boyhood[edit]

  • "You know how everyone's always saying seize the moment? I don't know, I'm kind of thinking it's the other way around, you know, like the moment seizes us."

Call of Duty: Black Ops[edit]

  • "He and us are not so different. We are all soldiers without an army...Betrayed...Forgotten...Abandoned. In Vorkuta, we are all brothers."
  • "We will not pause! We will not falter! We will be free - or die trying!"

Catherine[edit]

  • "A dream is something that will disappear no matter how much you wish to believe it."

Community[edit]

  • "When we seek to destroy others, we often hurt ourselves, because it is the self that wants to be destroyed."
  • "Documentarians are supposed to be objective to avoid having any effect on the story. And yet we have more effect than anyone. Because we decide to tell it. And we decide how it ends. Will your story be yet another sad one of yet another man who just wanted to be happy? Or, will your story acknowledge the very nature of stories, and embrace the fact that sharing the sad ones can sometimes make them happy?"

Cross+Channel[edit]

  • "Without points of connection between people, the majority of sins evaporate and lose meaning. What is desire? Desire is decided either by others or by comparing oneself with others. The root of desire lies in attaining that which many people acknowledge as valuable. But if one were alone. When alone, people change. How many people are there in a world with only themselves, and who therefore are true intellectuals?"

Dragonlance[edit]

  • "So dark. Endless darkness, eternal. It was not the absence of light that was so frightening as the absence of thought, of knowledge, of comprehension. Our lives, the lives of the living will go on. The sun shines, the moons rise, we will laugh and talk, and we will know nothing, feel nothing. Nothing. So final. It will come to us all. It will come to me."
  • "I have no desire for a device that would carry me backward in time. Unless...unless it would take me back to undo what I did. Perhaps then I might make use of it. But what would be the use? If I had it to do over again, the outcome would be the same. I would make the same decisions, commit the same heinous acts. For that was the man I was."
  • "Nothing happens by chance. Everything happens for a reason. Your brain may not know what it is. Your brain may never figure out what it is. However, your heart knows, your heart always knows."
  • "Weep as I wept once, long, long ago. Then you will realize, as I did, that it does no good. No one hears you, sobbing in the night alone."
  • "Only the dead are without fear."
  • "He did not fail, but he thinks he did, which amounts to the same thing."
  • "If we stop living because we fear death, then we have already died."
  • "Hope is a denial of reality. It is the carrot dangled before the draft horse to keep him plodding along in a vain attempt to reach it."
  • "Yet without the darkness, we would never be aware that the stars exist."
  • "For the dreams and secrets of our heart may be spoken, but words are poor handmaidens. Words can never fully say what we want them to say, for they fumble, stammer, and break the best porcelain. The best one can hope for is to find along the way someone to share the path, content to walk in silence, for the heart communes best when it does not try to speak."
  • "Time moves, and we are standing still."

Ef series[edit]

  • "There are no such things as miracles. There are only inevitabilities and accidents, and what you're going to do. That's it."

  • "Put your wishes into memories you do not want to forget."
  • "People will...Everyone will be left alone in the end. No matter if they're a blood relative or not, someday, without a doubt, they will be separated from you. That's why I won't expect things of others. That's why I won't interfere with others. That's why I'll obtain a way to live without depending on others."

Elementary[edit]

  • "If I can never value a relationship properly, then, at what point do I stop trying to maintain them?"

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind[edit]

  • "Remember me. Try your best. Maybe we can."
  • "Come back and make up a goodbye at least. Let's pretend we had one."

Ever17[edit]

  • "Life is just a cluster of empty desires. We build our lives on the corpses of others. We kill cows, pigs, birds, fish and plants... and if we don't, we die. Our appetites are whetted by the slaughtering of others. Our desire for sleep only proves our laziness. Our sexual desires are expressed through obscenity and sin. All the things that keep us alive, the things that drive us, are filthy. We can't live without them. There is no such thing as a life of purity. Ultimately... from the moment we are born, we are already corrupted."

Fate stay/night[edit]

  • "There are things that are beautiful because one cannot possess them."

Fire Emblem[edit]

  • "Humans are shameless creatures that carelessly ignore any misfortune which does not befall them directly. They can--and often do--turn a blind eye to all manner of wickedness so long as it does not touch them or their kin. They will bow their heads, condemning those victims for bringing calamity upon themselves, and then they will cast their eyes toward heaven in thanks while their neighbors lay dying around them. When the enemy darkens their doorsteps, perhaps they will understand. When the peace they take for granted is shattered, and their sons and daughters slaughtered in the streets... Perhaps then will they comprehend the misfortunes they so long pretended not to see. I have no sympathy for these fools."

FlashForward[edit]

  • "Most oracles are [insane]. They see the future and the knowledge ends up destroying them."

Ground Floor[edit]

  • "I don't get sick. Sickness is a weakness of the will."

Honey and Clover[edit]

  • "Everyone smiles at the young girl's innocent words, even though everyone knows that it's a wish that will disappear like snow with the passing of time. But because of that, they say nothing."

inFamous[edit]

  • "Half as long, twice as bright."

Kingdom Hearts[edit]

  • Axel: Roxas, are you really sure that you don't have a heart.
Roxas: I dunno. I can't...just look inside. But I figure, if there is something in there, inside us, then we'd feel it, wouldn't we?
Axel:True enough... Man, I miss the old times. Still got it memorized? The day we met, when you got your new name, you and I sat right here, just like this, and watched the sun set.
  • What happens when someone whose not real dies? Where will my heart go? That is, if it doesn't disappear completely...
  • True we don't hearts. But, we remember what it was like. That's what makes us special.
  • See you again. I'm glad I got you meet you. Oh, and of course, Axel too. You're both my best friends. Never forget. That's the truth.
  • What's your problem? You both think you can do whatever you want. Well, I'm sick of it. Go on, you just keep running, but I'll always be there to bring you back!
  • Who else will I have ice cream with?
  • Maybe today we'll finally hit the beach.
  • No. The world already has you. There's someone else who needs the replica more. You know who I mean. Good luck.

Lie to Me[edit]

  • "Great chess players think one move ahead, but it's always the right move."

The Matrix[edit]

  • "Hope - it is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength and your greatest weakness."

Max Payne[edit]

  • "I don't know about angels, but it's fear that gives men wings."

May Sky[edit]

  • "Don't get me wrong. I don't hate this company and I don't hate you guys. It's more complicated than that. I mean, everything we do is neat, but I've never once felt anything resembling excitement about it. Going on like this, doing this every day for the next forty years, I can't see that. You know what makes things worse? It's not like I have some big dreams, some ideal that makes me go 'no matter what, I am going to love for this'. I am empty. It's just, I keep thinking, that I should've been more careful. More serious. I really screwed up. Maybe we'll meet again in ten years, but until then, I'm sure I'll be stuck in my own personal Hell, agonizing over this, sunk in regret. So maybe I'm running away. You know what's funny? Throughout high school, college, I thought I knew how this story ended. Now, suddenly, I realize I don't."

Narcissu[edit]

  • "If I go into the sea like this...do you think I can die comfortably? At that time, would you stop me?" Himeko
  • "If you really wanted to die, you would have dove into the sea long ago."
  • "Hey...can I ask you one last question?"

"Sure."

"Do you...want to be stopped right now? Or do you want to be pushed toward the sea?"

"...hmm...that's a good question. Ahaha, I really don't know."

  • "If I were to say the truth here...if I were to truly apologize...the person who was punishing us...that person out there somewhere... would they relent?"
  • "If there is a prayer...then there is also a curse, don't you think?"
  • "If a person very close to you was gradually getting weaker, would you want to be nearby, the whole time watching that? Or rather, at a time you didn't know, they died before you realized. Would you want that? I think I would always want to be by their side. But if I were in the position of leaving, the opposite...by my side, I don't want anyone. Those leaving and those left behind, never will the two meet. Even if could bear my own pain, I couldn't bear another's."
  • "If there is a prayer, then there is a curse. Most likely, I would choose neither...I have a feeling I won't be able to choose. As someone like that, just what would become of me? In the end, would I be able to smile?"

Never7[edit]

  • "If you want to stop time, then it's all right to destroy time."

Oregairu[edit]

  • "My trained solitude won’t let me fall for the same trick twice. I’m a seasoned warrior. When it comes to losing, I'm the strongest."

Persona 5[edit]

  • "Heroes aren't heroes because they're famous... It's because they fight for other people."
  • "Truth be told, I had given up. I accepted that I was a zero, that my existence was meaningless. But I've learned. I may not be able to change the world, but I can change myself."
  • "Through a method that differs from mine, he was trying to reform the world. As you know, that is a very large mountain to cross. Unfortunately, I am unable to travel the same path as him. However, I will not say goodbye because we will surely meet at the peak."
  • "Y'all ned to simmer down and listen to what I hafta say for once! Wheether yer gonna be miserable or not's all on yer own damn shoulders! You don't need some divine power mumbo jumbo to be changin' yer fate! Ya'll got that strength in yerselves! Fortune-tellin' can't hold a candle to honest-to-goodness willpower! And heck, even if things're bad now, it'll all be fine so long as you keep yer heads up! If you want to control your future, that's all you need, strength. The only way forward is through the fortitude of your own heart!"
  • "Y'know, I've been so busy makin' sure he doesn't end up like me that I forgot to see who he's actually becoming."
  • "The heart of man is painted with desire, even if it's coated entirely in black at times. Our hearts were stained black in that manner. But the human heart is a strane thing. It can't completely separate black from white."
  • "Victory against a single criminal is meaningless. The true enemy is society itself. And even against that foe, you still have to try to somehow emerge victorious."
  • "If a god misbehaves, then it's the demon lord's duty to punish him."

Proposal Daiasakusen[edit]

  • "Human beings look for reasons when things don't go well. They pull out various excuses to console themselves. Will it really turn out well if you get to do it all over again? Since they failed the first time, where does that confidence of success the second time around come from?"

Red Shift[edit]

  • But still, she went on, and in the end she wanted not to die so much that she implored me to save her. Asking for assistance is no evil; it is no sign of defeat. In a way, it's a way to victory...well, the last straw, so to speak. She grasped at that last straw...and bet everything on me. That is why I will save her if I can.

Said the Sky[edit]

  • I keep getting these waves of nostalgia, things I haven't even been through or seen. But the feeling comes and hits me [and] all I can do is wonder.

Scrubs[edit]

  • "Still, maybe sometimes, that's what being a good leader is. Uniting everybody, by giving them somebody to hate. In life, it seems we have all have a role to play. Some of us are meant to be loved and some of us, unfortunately, are meant to be hated."
  • "I don't think people are meant to be by themselves. That's why if you actually find someone you care about, it's important to let go of the little things, even if you can't let go all the way. Because nothing sucks more than feeling all alone, no matter how many people are around."
  • "Relationships don't work the way they do on television and in the movies. Will they, won't they, and then they finally do and they're happy forever... gimme a break. Nine out of ten of them end because they weren't right for each other to begin with and half the ones who get married get divorced anyway, and I'm telling you right now through all the stuff I have not become a cynic, I haven't. Yes, I do happen to believe love is mainly about pushing chocolate covered candies, and, you know, in some cultures, a chicken. You can call me a sucker, I don't care, because I do believe in it. Bottom line is, couples who are truly right for each other wade through the same crap as everybody else, but the big difference is they don't let it take them down. One of those two people will stand up and fight for that relationship every time if it's right and they're real lucky. One of them will say something."

Shawshank Redemption[edit]

  • "I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright and when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice, but still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone."

Shin Angyo Onishi[edit]

  • "The endless battles, the perpetual chaos...they taught me that there are no saviors in this world. If you are surrounded by darkness and see a glimmer of light up ahead, it would only mean that a ray of light chanced to pass through. No more meaning than that. If you were to instinctively reach for the light, you would discover, behind the light, only more darkness. In the end you would still be swallowed by the dark."
  • "The world is a mixture of truth and lies. It's like a sprial woven by chaos. But if you have a resolute heart, one day, you will completely overcome this world. Because that is the nature of a sprial."
  • "Humans are weak. It's natural to pray for a miracle. But, because you are human, you can right your mistakes as well."
  • "What do you think is the most important thing for a human to have? Probably salvation. That's true. But, I think, what is most important for humans to have is the ability to look straight at God, the confidence to do so."
  • "For those who keep waiting to be rescued, miracles will never occur."
  • "Everything that happens now is by chance. Don't ever hope that something like this will happen again."

The Dark Knight[edit]

  • "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
  • "Do I really look like a man with a plan, Harvey? I don't have a plan. The mob has plans, the cops have plans. you know what I am, Harvey? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught one. I just do things. I'm a wrench in the gears. I hate plans. Yours, theirs, everyone's. Maroni has plans, Gordon has plans. Schemers trying to control their worlds. I am not a schemer. I show schemers how pathetic their attempts to control things really are. So when I say that what happened to you and your girlfriend wasn't personal, you know I'M telling the truth. It's a schemer who put you where you are. You were a schemer. You had plans. Look where it got you. I just did what I do best-I took your plan and turned it on itself. Look what I have done to this city with a few drums of gas and a couple bullets. Nobody panics when the expected people got killed. Nobody panics when things go according to plan, even if the plans are horrifying. If I tell the press that tomorrow a gangbanger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will get blown up, nobody panics. But when I say one little old mayor will die, everyone loses their minds!! Introduce a little anarchy, you upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I am an agent of chaos. And you know the thing about chaos, Harvey. It's fair."

The Doctor[edit]

  • "You let one of them go, but that's nothing new. Every now and then, a little victim's spared... because she smiled, cos he's got freckles, cos they begged. And that's how you live with yourself, that's how you slaughter millions, because once in a while, on a whim, if the wind's in the right direction, you happen to be kind."

The Letter[edit]

  • "I hate the fact that soon you'll be gone, never to return.

So these are my last words to you...

...my last chance to tell you...

...my last letter"

  • "That's three years.

Enough time for a middle schooler to become a high schooler, a high schooler to become a college student, and a college student to become a working man. A long time. Enough time to make you want to leave some proof that you existed, that the work of your hands was not in vain. To write new pieces. To write pieces that shine in the darkness and stand up to the very best there is in the world. And I can pray that we will meet again someday, on other pages, with new stories to tell each other."

The Punisher[edit]

  • "We're all lonely. And all life is, is just trying not to be."

The Vor Game[edit]

  • "The key to strategy is not to choose a path to victory, but to choose so that all paths lead to a victory."

The World Ends With You[edit]

  • "Each person had to give up something. Everybody makes sacrifices. Life's little crossroads can often be solved by a pull of the trigger."
  • "Don’t go the distance for other people. Do it for yourself."

Trace[edit]

  • "Everyone in this world has a past be it man or woman, a kid or an adult, an ally or an enemy, everyone has either a simple or complex past. By knowing their past, one's feelings for that person could change completely, or deepen like this. The past is like an info sheet, the result of a person's life."
  • "Acting like a hero even though you're a villian...I don't like it. Nothing would change even if we saved them. No matter what we do, we'll stay villians."

True Remembrance[edit]

  • "It hurts when you break up, or you’re blamed, or you’re hated. But…none of that hurts as much as being forgotten."

Wake Up Deadman[edit]

  • "You walk frantically, following a single path. But when you feel as if you've forgotten something and look back to see what it is, you'll see a pile of things you had to leave behind so that you could walk that path. Things so precious that you can neither forget nor throw away. But, you cannot retrace your steps nor have the courage to stop walking. Just bear all your regrets. Just bury all your lingering desires. And though you might look back again and again, you can only continue walking forward."

World's Greatest Dad[edit]

  • "I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It's not. The worst thing in life is ending up with people who make you feel all alone."

Wreck-it Ralph[edit]

  • "I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be then me."
  • "Turns out I don't need a medal to tell me I'm a good guy. Because if that little kid likes me...how bad can I be?"

Year of the Hangman[edit]

  • "But truth is, courage requires thought, and there's not much thought involved in battle. It's mostly a matter of duty, dumbly obeying orders. It's a far more difficult thing to make up your own mind about what's right and act accordingly-to go against the demands of duty when it's necessary, to take another path when you feel the one you've been led down is wrong. That requires real courage."

People[edit]

George Carlin[edit]

  • "I'm tired of being told who to admire in this country. Aren't you? Aren't you sick of being told who your heroes ought to be? Being told who you ought to look up to. I'll choose my own heroes, thank you very much."

Elio Carletti[edit]

  • "Beauty is a summation of the parts working together in such a way that nothing needed to be added, taken away or altered."

Ben Franklin[edit]

  • "He that lives upon hope will die fasting."

Neil Gaiman[edit]

  • "Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe."
  • "Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses. You build up a whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life... You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' or 'how very perceptive' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. Nothing should be able to do that. Especially not love. I hate love."
  • "You get ideas from daydreaming. You get ideas from being bored. You get ideas all the time. The only difference between writers and other people is we notice when we're doing it."
  • "We live in a world in which the only utopian visions arrive in commercial breaks: magical visions of an impossibly hospitable world, peopled by bright-eyed attractive men, women, children... Where nobody dies... In my worlds people died. And I thought that was honest. I thought I was being honest."
  • "There's never been a true war that wasn't fought between two sets of people who were certain they were in the right. The really dangerous people believe they are doing whatever they are doing solely and only because it is without question the right thing to do. And that is what makes them dangerous."
  • "Anyway: I'm not blessed or merciful. I'm just me. I've got a job to do and I do it. Listen: even as we're talking, I'm there for old and young, innocent and guilty, those who die together and those who die alone. I'm in cars and boats and planes, in hospitals and forests and abattoirs. For some folks death is a release and for others death is an abomination, a terrible thing. But in the end, I'm there for all of them. When the first living thing existed, I was there, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave. " -Death

Hermann Goering[edit]

  • "Why, of course, the people don't want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

Robert A. Heinlein[edit]

  • "Do not confuse "duty" with what other people expect of you; they are utterly different. Duty is a debt you owe to yourself to fulfill obligations you have assumed voluntarily. Paying that debt can entail anything from years of patient work to instant willingness to die. Difficult it may be, but the reward is self-respect."

Victor Hugo[edit]

  • “Take all reasonable advantage of that which the present may offer you. It is the only time which is ours. Yesterday is buried forever, and tomorrow we may never see."

Arthur Koestler[edit]

  • "Coincidence may be described as the chance encounter of two unrelated causal chains which — miraculously, it seems — merge into a significant event."

John F. Kennedy[edit]

  • "Every area of trouble gives out a ray of hope; and the one unchangeable certainty is that nothing is certain or unchangeable."

John Kerr[edit]

  • "Hope is the feeling you have that the feeling you have isn't permanent."

Timothy Leary[edit]

  • "Admit it. You aren't like them. You're not even close. You may occasionally dress yourself up as one of them, watch the same mindless television shows as they do, maybe even eat the same fast food sometimes. But it seems that the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider watching the "normal people" as they go about their automatic existences. For every time you say club passwords like "Have a nice day" and "Weather's awful today, eh?", you yearn inside to say forbidden things like "Tell me something that makes you cry" or "What do you think deja vu is for?" Face it, you even want to talk to that girl in the elevator. What if that girl in the elevator is thinking the same thing? Who knows what you might learn from taking a chance on conversation with a stranger? Everyone carries a piece of the puzzle. Nobody comes into your life by mere coincidence. Trust your instincts. Do the expected. Find the others."

C.S. Lewis[edit]

  • "In religion, as in war and everything else, comfort is one thing you cannot get by looking for it. If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end: if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth - only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin with and, in the end, despair."

Hugh Macleod[edit]

  • "The price of being a sheep is boredom. The price of being a wolf is loneliness. Choose one or the other with great care."

Peter McWilliams[edit]

  • "To use fear as the friend it is, we must retrain and reprogram ourselves. We must persistently and convincingly tell ourselves that the fear is here - with it's gift of energy and heightened awareness - so we can do our best and learn the most in the new situation."

James Nicholas III[edit]

  • "Hope equals desire accompanied by expectation."

Friedrich Nietzsche[edit]

  • "Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torment of man."

Thomas de Quincey[edit]

  • "Solitude, though it may be silent as light, is like light, the mightiest of agencies; for solitude is essential. All come into this world alone; all leave it alone."

La Rochefoucauld[edit]

  • "Hope and fear are inseparable."

Anthony Ryan[edit]

William Saroyan[edit]

  • "Have no shame in being kindly and gentle, but if the time comes in the time of your life to kill, kill and have no regret. In the time of your life, live — so that in that wondrous time you shall not add to the misery and sorrow of the world, but shall smile to the infinite delight and mystery of it."

  • "Just as despair can come to one only from other human beings, hope, too, can be given to one only by other human beings."

Oscar Wilde[edit]

  • "Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask and he will tell you the truth."

Unknown[edit]

  • "Hope, last and most dangerous thing a person can lose."
  • "Ice, the true meaning of sorrow. It brings us sorrow, despair, woe, and sadness. The ice that chills our body leaves us hanging in the deep sadness of life. We cannot see nor feel the heat. We are left in despair.

Fire, the true meaning of anger. It brings us anger, destruction, and fury. The infinite burning in our hearts wants us to destroy all those that get in our way. The anger that we feel takes control over us and destroys us from the inside. No such amount of cold and cool this fire.

Light, the true meaning of joy. It brings us joy, happiness, and love. Those that stand in the light shall continue to follow the light. It gives us a great feeling that overcomes our body. We shower ourselves with this love and hold it dear to ourselves never letting it go. The light is something one cannot live without.

Dark, the true meaning of fear. It brings us fear and unhappiness. Those that stand in the dark will follow the dark. Those that stand in the dark have never felt the feeling of the light. The dark overcomes the light and embraces it adding it to its own. Those standing in the dark feel scared and weak in the inside, but on the outside, destruction is what surrounds them. The feeling of fear is what keeps them in the dark.

Life, the true meaning of destiny. It gives us a way in which we must follow. Life, we follow the road of destiny. We must stay on the path of life of destiny lest we fall and tumble. If we stray off the path, we may never be able to see the light again.

Wind, the true meaning of peace. It gives us the feeling that we are safe and the light is always here. The wind surrounds us giving us the feeling that we are free and never caged. Peace is one thing that everyone must want for the world.

Rain, the true meaning of greed. The gives us the feeling that we are caged in and can never let go. The clouds are full of rain and will never let it go. But when it has too much of its needs, it bursts. Just like the clouds, we humans are the same. We hold too many things together and never let it go. But when things are too much to handle, we burst.

Death, the end of time. Death claims us at the end and shall never let us go. Life can never enter through our body every again. After death, we shall part our ways. Those that have entered the path of light, and those that enter the path of darkness. Those that enter the path of light will see the light forever never seeing the dark again. Those that enter the path of darkness will never see the light again. Hell...the seed of darkness. Forever of flames, anger, and destruction destroys our soul forever and ever. Heaven, the seed of light. Forever in happiness, joy, and peace. It will comfort our bodies forever and bathe us in the light of the Lord."

  • "To make money we lose our health and then to restore our health we lose money. We live as if we are never going to die and we die as if we never lived."

  • "Go to work, send your kids to school, follow fashion, act normal, walk on the pavements, watch T.V., save for your old age, obey the law. Repeat after me: I am free"

Myself[edit]

Duty[edit]

  • Names aren't important in this story. Names aren't important in the organization. Names are trivial. Names are a tool used to simplify one's existence down to a single word.
  • I never loved her. Love is a relative term used to show the degree to which you appreciate someone compared to another. When you only have one friend, there's no one to compare her to. To dumb down our relationship to a single word would be an insult.
  • What impulse within humans forces us to be like this? What impulse makes humans so dependent on another? What impulse forces humans to feel that it would better to die than to live forever in solitary confinement?

Hero[edit]

  • "Hero? Don't call me that. I'm not a hero, I'm just a shadow."
  • "You define your power. No one else can define it for you. No one else can judge you for it. As long as you believe in yourself, you will be a hero."
  • "They can call me an Angel of Death. But, an Angel of Death is still an angel."

Fade[edit]

  • "If you do not know the cause of their illness, you cannot tell them that they are just fine because the illness is never just cured. The only thing worse than hope, kid, is false hope."
  • "That’s what being around death is like. You don’t become numb to just that; you become numb to everything. And the thing about him is that, even though he has become so numb to emotion, deep down, he still has the same drive that he possessed when he was still an intern, the drive which made him become a doctor in the first place, the drive to become better and more importantly, the drive to fight for his patients; he still cares."

Line[edit]

  • The world changes, but people never change.
  • "Let me tell you. It sucks being alone, standing still when the world is moving without you. Do you know how lucky you are, to always have someone by you?"
  • "Aren't we all tools? You are a tool for your company. I'm a weapon used to kill others. That's how we all boil down to. In the bigger picture, each person is meaningless."
  • "My name? Do I really need a name in your mind?"
  • I believe that luck is defined as being in the right place at the right time.

Seven[edit]

  • How can a person who fears death connect with one who is not afraid of death and welcomes it?

Silence[edit]

  • In the beginning, I thought I was fighting for justice. Turns out there is no justice in this ****ed-up world.
  • I will change the world, even if I have to destroy it."
  • Take a look in that mirror. Tell me, the person that is reflected in that mirror, is that person you? Then tell me, are you proud of that person looking back at you?
  • Because, after all, the best presents don't come in packages.
  • If you lost the memory of what is most precious to you, would it still be the most precious thing to you?

Traitors[edit]

  • "And they will call us heroes."
  • "I was once a proponent of fear. But now, I have become a champion of hope."
  • "Your pride blinds you to the truth. Allow me to crush your pride and, in your death, your eyes will be opened to the truth."

Other[edit]

  • "From the moment we had let go of each other, we had already drifted apart."
  • "Only when we lie in the mud; only when our friends disappear; only when we go bankrupt; only when we are stripped of all of our power; only when our sword is broken, our gun jammed, our grenades used; only when we are pierced through the heart; only when we cower in the darkness; only when we meet our fear; only when truth slams itself into us; only when we are defeated, dying; only when we knock at the door of death; only when we see the angel of death reaching to carry us away in his cold arms; only when we are walking through that realm of despair and darkness do we finally begin to search ourselves; only when we search ourselves do we really find out what really matters to us."
  • "The veil of darkness has been lifted, the robes of shadow torn. Yet, where there is supposed to be light, there is simply more darkness."
  • "Our value comes from how many people would die for us, but our true worth comes from how many people we would die for."
  • "For every man, there is a woman. By the time you hit your late 20s and you haven't found your woman, there are 3 possibilities: 1. You met her and you fucked up. 2. She's so close to you, you don't even notice because you're... an oblivious shit. 3. She's out there hiding under a rock praying to whatever god she believes in asking why the fuck she had to end up with you."
  • "Growing up changes you, you know. It's a strange thing. Boys forgive, but never forget, while men forget, but never forgive. Females, on the other hand are much stranger. Girls forgive and forget, but women never forgive and they definitely never forget."
  • "Don't play a game you can't win."
  • "Sometimes, you play your cards right. But, even if you do, there are just times where the deck is just stacked against you."
  • "It doesn't matter how good the cards in your hand are if you can't win."
  • "But, what would you know? You, who has always lived in light, never once seeing the darkness. How can you tell me, one who has lived in the darkness, what the right thing is? I have seen horrors you cannot imagine, I have seen hate you cannot perceive, and I have seen evil you cannot comprehend. No, it is I who should be telling you what to do. Take a walk into the abyss. Only then can you tell me what to do."
  • "There are very few sane humans that choose to be evil because there is no reason to be evil. It's all relative. Evil to one person may be good to another. Even so, there are a few of us who choose to act evil, to act against what would be the accepted norm. We are no different than the others; we are simply more honest. We are not afraid of showing our dark sides. And because of this, everything we do, we do so from the bottom of our hearts."
  • "Change is necessary for stories. If nothing changes, then there would be no story to tell. After all, that's what a story is, a retelling of something that is different at two different points in time."
  • "Do not run. It makes you look impatient. Do not eat. It makes you look greedy. Do not speak. It makes you look conceited. Do not hope. It makes you look naive."
  • "I do not care about my appearance or my social abilities. Because if I did, life would be too easy and that'd be unfair for other people."
  • "Burning bridges is a lot harder than it seems. When you burn a bridge, it's like you are cutting off a piece of your past. And for most people, the thought of just discarding your past like that is terrifying. They want something to hold on. But, there are a few of us where burning a bridge may not be a bad thing. You burn a bridge so you have nowhere to return to, so you can't look back. You leave yourself with only one choice: to go forward. You force yourself forward knowing that there is something out there just waiting for you, something greater than what you left behind. And someday, you'll find it and you'll know that for all of the burning, for everything you gave up, it was worth it."
  • "If you believe strong enough, you can bend reality to your will."
