Add topicFlagging potential copyright violations
[edit]An editor using this IP address recently removed material from Jung Myung Seok, citing copyright violation, but not specifying the works violated. The usual practice in such matters is to first post a notice on the article's talk page with details of the claimed copyright infringement, so that the community can deal with the issue. Indeed, another editor restored the material but posted a note about this to Talk:Jung Myung Seok for this very purpose. You are encouraged to join this discussion.
There are occasional instances in which article content is replaced with a copyvio notice, but this typically only occurs when an editor identifies a website or other work which has been copied in its entirety to the article in the form originally presented, make this an "obvious" copyright violation. Simply excerpting material is not necessarily a violation, and therefore is usually be discussed first.
I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about this. Thank you for your concern and assistance. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 09:19, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
