Hi[edit]

Don't you dare putting that she is the most popular actress. With or withour perhaps. Don't think that here in WQ you are free to do every thing. I know that you have a ref. I saw that. I didn't make nothing wrong exept putting names of people before their quotes. FREEWEBS is not reliable. It is a free site made by fans. You and me also can create a fansite there. That's why it named FREEwebs, so I removed the very unbelievable quotes (4-6, not so big deal). The rest are here for now. they seem to be correct, but who knows? --Shshshsh 23:09, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop[edit]

Please stop re-adding that she is the most popular.

I'm going to make some changes latter. Please find references. And don't give me freewebs.com. --Shshshsh 15:27, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OMG[edit]

First of all. Your article which is full of hate and anger, could have been posted in my TALK page.

There's no proof for Dixit to say that she always liked her. Always? When? even in the days of Tezaab and HAHK? LOL

I didn't vandalize and didn't do nothing in a devious way. Look what you have done on the Preity page earlier. You said: I don't degrade Preity's page. Look, [[1]]

What can you tell me about that?

Now, I don't have to prve you how much I like Mukerji. I'm trying to just make this page more encyclopedic. You have to understand. The quoted from freewebs, whether they're referenced or not, are not prmitted since freewebs is unreliable. I did remove the Dixit's quote since it's not right. Please try to find articles which we can read. Then it will make more sense. You just give me the ref and I can add the quotes in.

One more thing: Stars adore her, stars love her, stars die for her. All as one - unencyclopedical. --Shshshsh 14:36, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Go and create a fansite[edit]

There you will add whatever you want. Attacking Preity and Kareena with these stupid quotes. KWK is a chat show. Video references are not permitted. Intro remains in my version whether you like that or not.

What is the sense in giving the quotes of 3-4 years ago? There is no sense. They were changed, Rani apologized for her words, Kareena's and Preity's feus is closed just like many other things. It's just a funny and an entertaining show. People say bad/good things. Preity always said that Rani is great. Rani was always angry with Preity because of Preity's previous success (ie KHNH) cause she didn't receive the role even though being senior and a good actress. So it's not a style. Find interviews, but not rapid fires. Look Amitabh Bachchan for preferred said: Aishwarya above Rani and Preity, Jaya in an old film rather than Rani in Black. Shilpa Shetty and Sanjay Dutt Said Kajol is the best. Shez you also have to notice that we are not permitted to use videos as references, especially when it comes to quotes. How can I know that you're quoting it good without bias? Facts are only when it comes to be a written text.

I changed Preity's quote. Don't you dare reverting my edits. After some time Preity also said that she had come to Rani and said: "Why did you talk behind my back saying I talk too much?" and Rani said: "I was just joking babe..." cause Rani knows that Preity can confront her in a big way. It was also on KWK. Why don't you add it in? Rani said that in the show, cause she didn't like what Preity said. So this case is closed. I will do a big change here. All the quotes from freewebs.com will be removed. KWK - we are not promoting it. It's not a newspaper or an interview or something like this. Saying that someone thinks that Rani is better than Kareena is stupid. Preity said that in her way: "Out of all the actors of my generation I worked with, Rani is the best" and the meaning is that rani is better than Gracy Singh for example but not better than Dixit who worked with Preity in YRHPK, cause she is not of the same generation.

STOP glorifying Rani. I will revert any injustice of yours. If you don't stop, I'll turn to an admin here.

Again, I strongly oppose to have KWK. Shows of 3 years ago are no longer interesting. Actors say there everything they want. I knew that one day you would come with this quote of Rani on Preity. Rani said to Preity that she was just joking. So we can understand that that's it. + unreferenced quotes are not for here. I don't trust you in quotes terms. --Shshshsh 14:39, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

YOU STOP IT!!!![edit]

A) I have a talk page. Stop posting your stupid messages on my user page.

B) We are not promoting KWK. I think it should be deleted. Comparing between actors and saying that Rani said Preity talks too much. Rani was jealous of her. That's why she said that. In that point of time Preity was already a winner of the Best Actor award. Plus, it is not permitted also to attack actors and this is an attack. And I have a quote where Preity says that Rani said to Preity that she was just joking so this stupid quote is cancelled. Stop saying that someone said Rani is better than Kareena Kajol or whoever. Go to Wikiquote policy and there you'll see what is permitted and what is not...

C) Video refs are not permitted. NO NO NO NO. Again NO. Stop it. I said no so it's no. Ask whoever you want. Everybody can change it especially when it comes to Shez_15, a die-hard fan of Rani.

D) Now I really intend to remove all that except Madhuri's quote. Quotes from freewebs will be removed. All these three years old quotes from KWK are no longer relevant. Stop attacking Preity, Kareena and Kajol. Things have been changed. Make it more encyclopedic. Not KWK and talk shows. I think good intervies from Rediff or Times of India.

E)Why aren't you putting Preity's quote about her. Why aren't you adding that Big B said that Aish is better and his wife was better in Kora Kagaz than Rani in Black. So it is all full rubbish.

F) OHHH you Don't forgive me... Please Please LOL, I didn't ask you for. LOLLLL

NO[edit]

You think I hate Rani and I won't clarify. You haven't said yet nothing about your edits in the link I gave you. About Freewebs, it will be removed from Preity's page when I remove that from Rani's.

Wiqiquote is still, an encyclopedia. I've seen Lindsay Lohan's page and even there you can see where the quotes are taken from, Londoan times, New york times. KWK? KWK is a really stupid talk show where actors come just to speak. Karan tries to get all the bad things they can say. Why are you insisting to have here the quote where Rani says that Preity talks too much and Karan mentions that? Why? I told you that Preity came to confront her and Rani said that she was just joking. We are not here and we are not permitted to give quotes where actors say bad things on each other. Apart from it, these shows were set three four years ago. Things were changed. They all now mature. There is no importance to that.

I want to remove KWK. And I will do that. You better try to do something beneficial. VIDEOS are not suitable as sources. DOT.

WOW, you gave me a good quote to explain something. Ashu-Ma, you know I love you. And I just want to say one thing that we are going to be friends forever. That's an example of something that is already over. Things were changed. They are no longer friends. So this is also the case of KWK. Things have been changed since 2003-2004.

I removed Freewebs finally. Nobody knows whether these things were actually said by someone or not. Who knows. It is quite possible that this was created by you. --Shshshsh 05:20, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here you go. See this: [2]
Karan: 2-3 years ago there was always talks about you and Rani on war-path, you and Kareena having problems and you know? Rani coming on this very show and saying that 'Oh Preity talks too much and she should keep her opinions to herself' but now when I see you with her, I feel everyone looks a little more relaxed in their own life. Do you think things have changed?
Preity: Yeah! But I always joke with Rani. Everytime I meet her, I go ZIP (zipping her lips) and she says, 'No babes, I didn't mean that!'
Karan: What were the repercussions of that? were you shocked when you heard she said that on the show?
Preity: I told Rani, why did you have to say this? you should have told me so she said, 'No babe I was just kidding!' which I believe because when I work with her, I don't have a problem working with her and I'm pretty instinctive that way. As long as I don't have a problem working with her, she is entitled to her opinions also just as I am entitled to my opinions.
Here you go... Your stupid quote is cancelled. And don't you dare re-adding quotes from freewebs.com. --Shshshsh 07:07, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
PS: And remember, I will never concede. You can go and report wherever you want. Your vandalism is not acceptable here. I will never let you write such stupid fudges. Rubbish, fangush and cheap quotes are not suitable for wikiquote. You better try to help the page making it more encyclopedic. I repeat, fansites will be good for someone like you. They are free and popular on the net. Mmmm go to freewebs.com. It's free. --Shshshsh 13:18, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Listen[edit]

I know that Wikiquote is something that one hardly sees. And I know that except you and me no-one reads it, But still... I think you saw the quote I gave you regarding the "Talk too Much" issue. This closed. KWK is still a chat show, and although you were working hard to quote it, we are not permitted to use videos. I know it's the best way but we are not permitted... You have to get it.

I strongly disagree to have quotes where people compare actresses, Rani and Kareena or Preity and Rani or Rani and Kajol. All of them great actresses. We are not here to write how actors dirty on actors. --Shshshsh 11:16, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

I see that we never gave you a proper welcome message, which includes many useful links to help understand how to participate at Wikiquote. So…

Hi Shez 15~enwikiquote. Welcome to English Wikiquote.

Indian actresses content & editor dispute[edit]

I have finished my review of the content/editor dispute posted at WQ:AN#Concern Over Editor. Please go there to see my analysis and recommendations. I hope to provide more specific suggestions within a day, but this should give you the general feel for how to proceed. Let me know if you have any questions. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 05:36, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shez 15 and Shshshsh, here are some notes I made while investigating your dispute. They are in no particular order, and there is some overlap. But if I wait until I have time to better organize them, I'm afraid it'll take another few days, and I'm already nearly a week behind my commitment to give your this information. Please forgive the disorder.

  • "Vandalism" is probably the most often-abused term in Wikimedia, and should be used only when citing page blanking, grafitti-like edits, and other obvious signs of defacing articles. It should never be used to describe mere disputed content. Editors accusing others of vandalism in edit summaries and talk pages are engaging in uncivil discourse and will be asked to stay cool and assume good faith, as we would rather not have to temporarily block conscentious editors who simply disagree.
  • Edit summaries are not the place to carry out arguments. They should succinctly describe the edits and/or rationale for making them. They generally should not include comments directed at other editors. If you want to argue, do it on the article talk page (if it's directly related to content disputes) or on your user talk pages (if it's complaints about each other).
  • Each quote must be individually sourced. There are many ways to do this, but this is non-negotiable. There is no other reasonable way for editors to be sure that each quote has actually been specifically sourced, due to formatting limitations of Wikimedia, the style practices of Wikiquote, and the nature of incremental wiki editing by a large community.
  • Please use the quote and source formatting established in Wikiquote:Templates/People; specifically:
Quotes after a single bullet (asterisk)
Context information under the quote in a double-bullet (two asterisks)
Source line under under quote and/or optional context information in a double-bullet (two asterisks)
Please do not remove the cleanup tag while the tagged articles are not in conformance with this formatting.
  • Quotes should be pithy, memorable statements. They should not be used to promote a subject just because someone is a fan. (See Firefly (TV series)#Quotes about Firefly and Serenity for an example of limited quoting about a subject. There are many more sourced instances of celebrity gushing about the show and film, but they neither say anything especially new or memorable, and they aren't as widely reported, making these few especially notable.) We want quotes that one might find in a 10,000-page Bartlett's Famous Quotations, not just anything we can find on the Web.
  • Quoting the subject about opinions of others and of general subjects is another kind of quoting which is usually a bad idea. 50 years from now, who is going to care what anyone thinks of anyone else? What's important is if they say something along these lines that stands out as a clever, funny, impassioned, bizarre, or otherwise noteworthy turn-of-phrase. Let fan websites collect the subject's general opinions.
  • YouTube is almost never a valid source. Most video clips used for references are clear copyright violations. Most usernames claiming to be an authority (e.g., "Showtime" for the Showtime Network) are inaccurate and deliberately misleading. The same is true for most video sites that allow user uploads. When in doubt, assume the clip is a copyvio. Look for an alternative source, like a text transcription of the relevant quote on a news site.
  • Do not engage in revert wars over non-printing space and other trivial edits. For the record, blank lines between quotes are not required, but they help editors find, sort, and source quotes, so it's usually best to leave them in. More than one blank line between quotes will add extra "printing" space between quotes, and should be removed when doing other editing.
  • Follow Wikiquote (and Wikipedia) case rules, which basically use sentence case; i.e. don't capitalize any words in a heading that aren't part of a proper noun. The title of a work is a proper noun; the heading "Quotes about Mukerji" is not, although "Mukerji" is.
  • Wikiquote is not a gossip column archive. Including quotes that are little more than chatter between celebrities is pretty much never useful unless it's something so memorable it made world headlines, and even then I'd be skeptical. Opinions between Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta are unlikely to be any more useful to Wikiquote than those between feuding Hollywood ex-spouses Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, who have plenty of sourced but unmemorable "quotes" to call upon.
  • Grouping quotes by topic is arguably useful if there are many quotes on that topic, but it's usually a bad idea. The most important grouping in an article is "Sourced" and "Unsourced", because the latter shouldn't be considered anything more than rumor until sourced. Most people articles don't have enough truly pithy quotes to justify anything other than chronological ordering. Those that do often need severe pruning because their content approaches fan adulation or foe vilification (or both), neither of which is typically interesting to anyone besides the contestants in the conflict. Wikiquote should not be treated as a battleground for these parties, any more than would The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations.

If you have any questions or comments about the above information, please let me know. Thank you for listening. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 13:35, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shez 15, I have three more points I'd like to make to you in particular:

  • Please do not use Wikiquote articles for experimenting, as you (in one of your apparent anon identities) did when working on a film table for Mukerji.[3] We have Wikiquote:Sandbox for this, and you are welcome to create your own user subpage (e.g., User:Shez 15/Sandbox) if you want to do longer-term experiments.
  • Please use edit summaries as much as possible. Without them, it is very hard for another editor to quickly assess general activity or to locate specific edits without laboriously checking each edit, as I had to do for this situation. Many wikians (myself included) recommend including even a very brief comment for each and every edit, without exception. A wiki article's edit history is almost as important as the article itself, so editing notes are vital.
  • PLEASE sign your talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~), as I've noted above in the welcome message. It is very important for readers not only in providing them a link to your user page, but also in trying to follow the timing of discussions.

Again, thank you for listening. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 13:38, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
