Ferris Bueller's Day Off‎

Fair enough. No worries - just didn't think that Cameron's song was as memorable as other quotes. But your change works as well. Regards. ~ UDScott 15:16, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Anytime. WikiLubber 19:04, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

It is an annual practice to tag a userpage that has been blanked for deletion. Is it okay if I can tag your page for deletion? --~~Goldenburg111 22:58, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

By all means. It was only created because of a vandal. WikiLubber (talk) 20:38, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi WikiLubber, in response to this (implicit) request, your user-page has been deleted. -- Mdd (talk) 13:57, 12 May 2014 (UTC)

Removal of critical comments, and more

Hi WikiLubber,

I noticed you removed the last two (critical) talkpage topics on the talk page. First:

Thomas and Friends
Apart from the uncivil edit summaries, I am a bit confused regarding the latest edit war on this page (of which you are a participant). How are the additions that were made in any way representative of a copyvio or vandalism? From what I see, the user attempted to add additional episodes with a number of quotes that does not exceed 2 per episode (the current accepted limit for such a tv show). Where is the problem? ~ UDScott (talk) 20:49, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

In removing this quote you commented in the editsumarry Too many quotes, and too much emphasis. Next you removed:

Removal of standard hypertext links is an asinine form of censorship
I believe strongly that removal of what are standard hypertext links on wikis for the convenience of people looking to explore the ranges of ideas upon it is asinine form of censorship. These links permit exploration of vast ranges of opinion to occur and prevent people falling into narrow forms of groupthink mentality which have been exploited throughout the ages by various forms of fascists, tyrants, frauds, and other damned fools. I hope that you are intelligent enough to be able to perceive that, and desist from such anti-social behavior in the future. So it goes Blessings. ~ Kalki·· 12:47, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

Afterwards you undid this comment [1], and after Kalki restored it, you undid it again with the comment Stop restoring what I don't need, vandal.

Now there are several other things:

  • This last comment again raises the concern about uncivil edit summaries.
  • As to this specific edit summary: Stop restoring what I don't need, the talk page works two ways. If critical comments are made, you have an (unwritten) obligation to give you opponent to talk it out.
  • Regarding these edit summaries, in the last weeks or so, I have personally removed some extreme uncivil edit summaries with extreme comments on your previous edits.
  • Now this seems to have escalated into an (unclear) Wikiquote:Requests for adminship/WikiLubber and an illegale restore of your userpage

Now hereby, I would like to ask you to reconsider your policy of removing critical comments from your talk page. I can warn you, that if you simply remove this comment again, I will simply recreate it at the Wikiquote:Administrators' noticeboard with the question if more appropriate action should be taken here. -- Mdd (talk) 12:03, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

When I said: "Stop restoring what I don't need", I was undoing an IP address' edit. I thought it was a vandal trying to get back at me. WikiLubber (talk) 23:10, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, your are right about the IP address, and the later edits proved you were right all along. It is clear that there is an opponent, who knows how to work the system. In the meantime I have also removed the Wikiquote:Requests for adminship/WikiLubber, which would do for now. Looking at your ongoing work fighting vandalism and trimming articles I am impressed by all your good work. Unfortunately, it´s inevitable that not always everybody agrees. American Dad!/Season 1

Hi WikiLubber, it doesn't seem right to keep disagreeing with the new created American Dad!/Season 1 and related articles. You could start a AFD, and I also asked another administrator to take a look (see (here). -- Mdd (talk) 14:09, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for your monitoring, but I guess the anon didn't intend to vandalize the article. I support your revert and thank, but lack of knowledge of WQ:MOS is not directly vandalism in my opinion. Cheers, --Aphaia (talk) 03:46, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Making vulgar insults on one's talk page IS vandalism, like the edit I recently did. WikiLubber (talk) 05:04, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

Please do not blank the page

Hi, WikiLubber, thank you for caring the project. For vandalized page creation, please use {{Delete}} instead of blanking page, unless the page contains something serious not to suitable for the public view. Tagging pages will help admins much more mere blanking. Thank you. --Aphaia (talk) 05:09, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

An complaint about an anonymous user.

I have just caught this anonymous user vandalizing Chicken Run by constantly changing the names of the unnamed chickens in the dialogue with the names that wasn't said or mentioned in the film or in its closing credits. Can I find an admin that I or possibly you could pass this on? Also, you don't have to have the message on your talk page, you can take it down whenever you feel you want to do. --TPercival (talk) 14:27, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

The Empire Strikes Back

The user Anders906 has just vandalized The Empire Strikes Back once again. I want that user blocked indefinitely. Right now!! AdamDeanHall (talk) 19:12, 29 May 2017 (UTC)

That user did it again!! I therefore request that The Empire Strikes Back and the other pages be protected for a year. AdamDeanHall (talk) 19:42, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
I am not an administrator. WikiLubber (talk) 02:54, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

Appreciate you reverting the vandal on Jonathan Mitchell before I got to him. I also put a post on the Village Pump noting the lack of active admins. It's a shame you're not an admin because that page needs protecting to that person is forced to edit under their account (he has one - he created the Mitchell article with the intent of putting Mitchell over as a reliable source on Autism. The same thing was done on Wikipedia). Any help to attract an admin's attention would be appreciated. TLPG (talk) 21:54, 31 December 2018 (UTC)

Re. "IP vandals..."

I notice that you have posted the same message to several administrators at the same time. You have also made similar requests in recent days, which were evidently declined. People are aware of the situation, and are dealing with it as well as they know how. Your suggestions for improvement are welcome at WQ:AN; but Please calm down, Please do not spam people, and Please do not engage in forum shopping. ~ Ningauble (talk) 14:33, 12 May 2019 (UTC)

I understand. But I was not spamming. I was only trying to help them. It just irks me when these blatant vandals get off with a slap on the wrist (anything above half a year's worth of blocking and/or protection of pages is tolerable).
The only reason those IP vandals have not gone after my talk page is because it is still under protection (but once it expires come the 21st, unless it is protected again, there is no stopping those vandals until they are banned for life). WikiLubber (talk) 18:45, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
Oh, and by the way, I have already sent multiple reports to the noticeboard in question, but those IP vandals keep callously trying to remove them. WikiLubber (talk) 18:49, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
