Wikiquote:Temporary account IP viewer
Temporary account IP viewers are users with the ability to view temporary account IP addresses, as well as able to access the IP Information tool. Administrators can already see temporary account IP addresses, therefore they do not need to assign this permission to themselves.
A user can request this permission at Wikiquote:Requests for permissions, and must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum age of 6 months, and
- A minimum of 300 edits to English Wikiquote.
Usage
[edit]Usage of this tool must follow the Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy, and each use of the tool is logged. This log is only visible to checkusers.
Revocation
[edit]Administrators are permitted to remove the permission upon misuse of the right, which includes the disclosure of IP addresses in violation of the Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
