Quotes

[edit]
  • So, out in our West, artists are trying to run their eyes clear of mythic and legendary cobwebs, and see straight to the actual. ... There is indeed a new candor afoot in the land. Maybe it's part of the impulse to see straight to the beating meaningful heart of things, but sometimes it's only hearts torn apart while we watch: candor, a manifestation of our nostalgia for the old days when violence seemed meaningful.
