Hasan al-Askari

The al-‘Askarī Mosque entombs the graves of Hasan al-‘Askarī and his father ‘Alī an-Naqī in Sāmarrā', Iraq.
Hasan ibn ‘Alī al-‘Askarī (846 - 874 AD) (Arabic: حسن بن علي العسكري ) was the eleventh Twelver Shī‘ah Imām. He was the son of ‘Alī an-Naqī and was the ninth generation grandson of Muhammad.
