Put another way, better to be cast out of a group, that is either malicious or merely inexperienced, or to be persecuted by that group, or both of such things, than to struggle against the divine within oneself and others.

The quotation may sound and look like it is only for Christians, and probably even then only for Whites who profess Christianity.
In fact, it is actually relevant at least for the dissidents of any ethnoreligious background, and for any ethnoreligious group.
