[edit] OTRS 2011091410021904
I believe this edit you made, citing OTRS 2011091410021904 in the edit summary, is incorrect. The text available at Google Books clearly does not refer to the sum, just the parts. I have flagged the citation with {{failed verification}}. Unless you are aware of another translation or source more reliable than this one that supports this citation, it will be removed. ~ Ningauble 14:14, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
- And that's your right, as it is a wiki. I made the edit only as a courtesy for the individual because the page was semi-protected. Therefore I have no attachment to it and will not make any attempt to defend it. Adrignola 14:18, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, I have reverted the edit. I appreciate that you are trying to be helpful. That is a good thing. I would suggest that when someone is unable to edit a semi-protected page it might be better for OTRS to advise them to post a request on the article talk page. In that way you can help newcomers to familiarize themselves with the Wiki process and become contributors to the project. I think that would be better than simply overriding the protection even if it were not a case, as in this instance, of facilitating the insertion of false information. ~ Ningauble 14:57, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
- I'll do that. I wouldn't knowingly insert false information; the individual appeared to be quite sure it was the source. Last time I make edits for anyone through OTRS. Adrignola 15:08, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for understanding. Don't let one bad apple spoil the experience, but a little skepticism is always in order. ~ Ningauble 15:53, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
