Thank you for fixing that. It was my fault for moving the cursor down from the wrong position and then not checking the results. Apologies for leaving a mess for others to clean up. - Macspaunday (talk) 17:54, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Omni. Re [1]: the meaning is correct, but "the less he fornicates" is not a very accurate translation of "moins il bande", it's more like, hum, the less it gets hard... Where did you get that translation? ~ DanielTom (talk) 11:46, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. There are two widely known translations of the passage; the one is by Joanna Richardson (1994), Baudelaire, p. 50ː "The more a man cultivates the arts, the less randy he becomes."; the other one is included in The complete works of W.H. Auden: 1949-1955, Vol. 3, Princeton University Press, 2008, p. 56ː "The more a man cultivates the arts the less he fornicates."[2] --Omnipaedista (talk) 13:56, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I see, thanks for the references, and for adding the translations. Cheers, DanielTom (talk) 15:38, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

hi ː)

okay, i won't. the reason i did was sometimes there's a series of good quotes about one continuing idea that are close together, and you'd need to quote multiple parts to properly capture the idea. like they might be within a few pages of each other at most. and i feel like they should belong under one bullet point then. if you give them each their own bullet point it seems kind of iffy, like maybe just don't quote any of it then. so what i did was separate the quotes in those instances by a line with the colon. then it can all be under one bullet point and you don't have to use so many ellipses and make it such a big block of text to read. but that doesn't adhere to the style conventions so i wonder if there's any better way to handle it without just giving each quote its own bullet point or making it look too long (but for now that's what i'll do, and if it looks too long i just won't add the quotes).

I'm afraid that currently there is no available way to have quotes by individuals presented together in thematic grouping. Please adhere to the current style conventions. --Omnipaedista (talk) 07:56, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Omnipaedista, I restored the cleanup tag at the Noam Chomsky article and explained here. If you are prepared to contribute to improving the source info, you are much welcome. -- Mdd (talk) 12:12, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for notifying me. When I get time I will work on that. --Omnipaedista (talk) 12:16, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, if you could spare some time, that would be great. -- 13:12, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
