Talk:Gospel of Thomas

The Gospel of Thomas is a very important document, but if a public domain or GNU FDL version of the complete document were to be provided, it belongs at Wikisource, not at Wikiquote. Most existing translations of the Greek and Coptic fragments into English are not in the public domain. The existing page for Jesus Christ was originally set up with a structure that quotes from many of the major passages of the Thomas Gospel, and with links to sites that do provide several major translations in their entirety. This Page should probably be made into a redirect to the Thomas portion of that page. The text that was originally posted on this page appears to be the entire 1988 translation by Thomas Lambdin, and thus a violation of copyright, and Wikimedia policies. I am changing it into a redirect to the portion of the Thomas portion of the page for quotes of Jesus Christ, which provides quotes from that translation. That page also contains links to pages with the Lambdin translation, as well as others. ~ Kalki 12:16, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)
